Okay fine, you could. But once again, look at these. It's a fucking pile of muddy pixels, back when it was displayed on 640*480 screens you could hardly see shit. If you make a scale of explicit content, this is much lower than making 3D boobs and dicks in detail on ultra-high resolution screens.

Ive never actually heard that societal anomaly phrased up so simplistically and so well, its a good way of putting it.
I still think nudity is largely out of context unless its in a cutscene or something (IE: bioware games) thats sort of the difference. Violence, while it is violence is in context, the game is about adventure, character development and fighting, but people dont usually get nude just for the heck of it.
Ancient peoples (especially britonic) were constantly half naked or totally naked, but thats never really been part of TES, nor is TES a carbon copy of history.. people are clothed. [URL="http://www.garden-fountains.com/famous-statues/david.jpg"]I dont see the problem with a statue being nude [/URL] but having topless hookers, or being completely naked when removing clothed items is sort of pointless IMO. Its not really needed, and all it really adds to the game is unwanted controversy.
That said, I hope they do make the underwear more realistic at least, like tattered rags or something, or even give you the option to choose your underwear style. So if you loot a peasant or something, their undergarments would basically be loose-fitting rags, and if you looted a royal guard, they'd have embroidered undies :v: It bothered the shit out of me in fallout 3 and NV that everybody, including wretches and raiders had this really dumb-looking long grey underwear (as if they just stepped out of walmart), I hope they dont have that shit in Skyrim.

It was especially immersion breaking when you killed an enemy that was wearing raider equipment and the tanktop magically just appeared on him when you took the armor off as if your character was carrying an extra pair along just in case.

It's got leather riveted on to it. I'm probably going to replace the leather with metal splints, eventually. I also am going to probably be getting a new set of greaves.
