Oh shit, I hope banks.
Just like Daggerfall. C:
Thinkin about making my same character in Skyrim from Oblivion. Fiona Novak the Breton Battlemage. Awwww yeah. Shit's gonna be so cash. Considering that apparently the character creation is improved I can finally make females worth wanking over, especially Fiona. She was pretty hot by vanilla Oblivion standards.

So basically, she was a man. Alright, mate, if that's your thing.
Just preordered finally on steam. Now it's just there..taunting me...
I was going to preorder on steam, but I was afraid the same would happen to me, so I just preorder through Gamestop, and will wait out at midnight. If I don't get my physical map with it, im gonna be pissed.

um
I shalt be modding this game like crazy.
So whats the deal with the Engine for Skyrim, I haven't been keeping up, Gamebryo? Enhances/altered version of it what?

They retooled the engine enough that they decided it was a different engine and called it the Creation Engine.

It's the same damn engine as far as I can tell though. The same hovering items on shelves, the same low distant LoD, the same look and feel. It looks the same to me, even though they say it's new and different
It's going to be funny seeing 'GameBryo' in the credits...
Okay, I've tried searching this up but I can't find a specific solution to the problem, or what might be causing it.
After spending the entire day installing Morroblivion, and downloading a shit load of mods required for some of the other mods...
I'm basically at the point where most of the provinces including Vvardenfell for Morrowind are opened up.
As part of the process I needed to use the TES4LODGen tool to generate new lods for everything.
The only problem is that every time I run it, it seems to freeze. Always at the same point too; when it gets to "Filtering VWD References: Tamriel" and it says "LOD Generator: Replacing Tamriel" in the window.
Now I don't know if it's actually frozen, but the longest i've left it is 10 minutes and it hasn't done anything.
Anyone think they can help me out here?
Leave it for longer, see what happens.
It does go into a state of unresponsiveness and I think that the length of time is affected by the amount of LODs that it has to generate.
I just realised as well, the Skyrim theme has elements from the Morrowind theme too.
Oblivions theme diverged, wheras Skyrims did but stil lhas strong elements from it.

It looks pretty damn different from Oblivion, the textures look a lot better and no more potato faces (honestly, the best part). And hovering items is just a modeler's fault or the guy who places items, not the engines. (Which we've only seen once so far)
And it's probably going to be optimized better.
I was thinking about that Morroblivion thing, and what if after Skyrim came out somebody ported it to the Skyrim engine and made them all interconnected?
Oblivion's theme was a new score based on Morrowind's, Skyrim's theme literally is Morrowind's theme, rerecorded with more emphasis on bass and added lyrics.
I really hope they do a Morrowind remake one day, with amazingly detailed graphics and plenty more NPC's...

Morrowind's, Oblivion's, and Skyrim's are all the same tune. Just different elements and instruments.
Skyrim's theme is my favorite so far though. I still get goosebumps from that trailer, where he goes "Dragon born!" and then the character shouts and it morphs into the theme.

Just let them be the way they are man, that would be like remaking Deus Ex.
Anyone know if the enemy and item level scaling is still as shit as it was in Oblivion?
Or did they finally make it more like it was in Morrowind?

Oh God, Elder Scrolls overload.
This sounds surprisingly good.

I think it's still scaled but if you go into a dungeon, go out, level up, and go back in they will be the same level they were before you left.
I THINK. :C

Oh well, gotta wait for Oscuros Skyrim Overhaul
This sounds surprisingly good.
Even though they butchered the morrowind theme.
This sounds surprisingly good.
That's because they've been synced and edited. If you play them all at the same time without editing it's a mess.

Going to go through without mods the first few times, so I can notice what i'm changing in the world.
Well, TES4lodgen doesn't seem to work... (It still freezes up)
I've left it for 30 minutes and I don't see how it could take that long.
I don't know what would happen if I tried to run Oblivion without it but i'm guessing that everything out in the distance would be screwed up.
Just try it bro?

I meant doing the modding, since I work twice a week and the rest I do nothing.
Portfolio building time :v:

Yeah the faces are BIG TIME improved, but the same small details that you see in Fallout and Oblivion are showing here in Skyrim as well. They aren't game breakers or anything, but it just doesn't look like it's much of a different engine
Are the Elder Scrolls books any good? There are a few at this nearby store and they're pretty cheap.
