Dude, when I made my character, I put Smell all the way down and Charisma all the way up...
So... YOU'RE WRONG.
THE GAME'S JUST FUCKIN' BUGGY OKAY?
You're playing wrong, I cranked smell and lowered charisma to a mid point, but I added in "rugged" as a perk.
Okay, I have no idea where else to post this, but I have a question about Oblivion.
I bought the Game of the Year edition from the Summer Sale, which includes all the DLC. Now, I am wondering, should I play the DLC sidequests first to get a boost to help with the main game, or should I beat the main game first to get a boost with the sidequests?
screw the main quest
I want to travel the vast landscape and care not about any quests. Though I properly do that in my spare time, after I nozzle though the few quests that happened after the intro.
This game looks fucking extraordinary.
So what does LOD mean?
lebel of detaile
LEVEL of DETAIL
Spelling's hard man.
LEVEL of DETAIL

no it obviously means Lots of Dicks
So what does LOD mean?
distant landscapes, and oblivion's lack of decent ones has aged it terribly
distant landscapes, and oblivion's lack of decent ones has aged it terribly
How does LOD stand for distant landscapes unless you read it backwards and add something begining with o in the middle?

It stands for "Landscapes, Oh wait I needed to say Distant before that fuck".
Landscapes on distance?
Landscapes on a distance.
Large ostrich dick
wait
Never mind...
Put the difficulty ALL the way to the left.
You'll thank me later.
Doesn't the difficulty affect how fast your skills level up?
Never mind...
It stands for Level Of Detail, and it means that the bigger the LOD is, the more details you can see from a distance.

Here is a good image that shows the effects of LOD based on distance.
But you usually play alot of console games, so LOD will be very small in your games, no offense.
Doesn't the difficulty affect how fast your skills level up?
Yes, but if you want to level up your skills (put a rock on your spacebar, go to a corner and start jumpan) then put it on the right. Also never sleep. Only rest. You'll thank me later.

because suck my dick
basically oblivion's landscapes look good from up close but it's terrible at reducing the detail as you move further away, making everything look like a green mush

I couldn't see anything off the top of Frostcrag Spire, but that was probably me fucking things up.
This is probably a stupid place to ask, but is Morrowind worth getting? Is it better/worse than Oblivion, and how badly has it aged?
Also, is the combat turn-based or more realistic like Oblivion's?
Are you stupid.

I would reccomend you get it and never say a bad word against it or be punished for all eternity by some of the more aggressive TES fans.
Are you stupid.
Is that a question or a statement?
Morrowind has so shitty graphics that your computer will crash just because it looks so shit. The combat is probably the worst in the history of video games. And yeah, it's turn based, like the classic Fallouts. And the main story is really crappy too.
Don't get it.
Turn based like fallout?
lol

It's good but it's really tough to get into due to how badly it's aged. Also I don't really think it's worth the 20$ that Steam charges for it.
I tried Morrowind and call me shallow but I could just not be immersed due to the graphics which for me is a huge problem. Graphics do not make a game but when it comes to RPG's they damn well help the immersion which is a pretty big thing in RPG's, especially ones like TES. Oblivion I can just about manage to be immersed in.

Speaking of Morrowind last time I played it was when I was 14 or so, It took me half an hour to fight a rat on the first Fighter's guild quest and I still lost because half of the Time I wasn't hitting it, unless I was using a dagger, was that a problem with the game or was I being a really bad player?

Just a bad player, I played it when it first came out and had no problems, yeah sometimes I didn't hit but I still killed the rats/ what ever else i'm killing unless it was too high level for me obviously.
