:downs: So anyone else realize a lot of the Killing-Blows are going to be forced in third-Person? Thats my only gripe with this game.
Apparently Gamespot doesn't even know about dragon shouts.

You could turn off cinematic finishers in New Vegas and this will be on pretty much the same engine, so it'll either be an option or a console command.

It's an "incantation". :downs:

The only one I can imagine is forced into third is the dragon kill where he jumps on its head. The rest of the time they either switch to third to show you or are already in third.
You can always turn finishers off all together.

I hope so too, if you look at the new GTTV and Gamespot vids you'll clearly see some dual-wield ones are.

i don't mind this though
they have both first person killing blows and third person killing blows and sometime i want to see my character doing badassery

No, it's confirmed to be in first or 3rd person

These ones looked forced, but maybe he did just instantly switch to third person. Who knows.

Weird, I guess the guy instantly switched.
The fucking armor shout thing where the dude jumped off the cliff... Jesus. That is going to be fun.
Now for a sudden episode of [I]Bethsoft forum adventures.

Not to mention where he was when he used it. Jesus, that place looks sexy.
Maybe you can toggle it to auto switch or not. Hopefully.
You can only set if you want finishers off or on. I don't see the point in having an option for it to switch automatically to third.

I don't mind it, as long as it's only for the last enemy in a pack
Who honestly gives a crap if it makes you watch some of the killing blows in 3rd person, it lasts for a matter of seconds and then pops you right back to 1st person. That seems like an awfully silly thing to be nitpicking about.

I'm sure there will be various different death cams that you can choose from in the options menu, like in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. For example you could have it snap to the cinematic camera, or remain in third person or first person.

Because I chose to play the game in first person and they been going on about how they care a lot about immersion and how the game is focused on first-person. Is it a big deal or game-breaker? Nah. But its just a very odd design choice
the killing blows aren't forced third person, you can see killing blows in first person too

This is true.

I totally agree, I feel that it adds more character to your character if he picks up a wolf with one arm and viciously beats it with the other, slashing enemies only for them to fall over limply was unsatisfying for me
also when are active ragdolls going to be implemented in more games? come on developers, limp ragdolls just look shit
the killing blows aren't forced third person, you can see killing blows in first person too
No, some of them are forced. (Namely the ones where you do spins and shit because that would be awkward in first person)

Oh I've seen this debate covered back when third-person elements were introduced to DXHR. Funny how people assume something like that is going to totally kill the immersion.

But that argument is completely invalid here seeing as the last two Elder Scrolls games had optional thrid person and the one before that was solely third person.

i wish they even had motion capture deaths
those always look amazing

Um, Dagger-Fall was First-Person Only.

Exactly but its not going to stop people from bitching about it.

To be honest I never really felt immersed in that game but thats not Skyrim :v:
Um, Dagger-Fall was First-Person Only.
Redguard came after Daggerfall, was thrid person, and was the first full 3D Elder Scrolls game.
