Just pre-ordered and cancelled a plan I had that was on november 12th because I know that I won't be able to tear myself away from this game.
I find counting down the days to November makes the wait less boring.
November 1st to 11 will be the home stretch anyways

obligatory "hey guys remember when skyrim was 8 months away"
When there wasn't much footage at all and no reason to be hyped as much as now? Yes I do remember, but now I can't wait any more.
Steam gets it to you the fastest, although not necessarily for a good price.
Amazon will reliably ship you a copy and provides assurance that you are getting a good price. They will automatically charge you the lowest price that shows up in any of their shops between the time you preorder and the time they charge you. Release date delivery being free and reliable is also very handy.
Gamestop is run by assholes and supporting them is generally not a favorable action.
I live in the US so steam isn't a ripoff. Steam would also have a preload so having a connection that gets at max 1 MB/s isn't a problem. The only real question is if I want that map. I say gamestop because it's the only place I can preorder online and walk in an pick it up. Again I think that Gamestop would be a few hours faster than Amazon as Amazon usually gets here around 3 PM... of course steam would be the fastest. Ughugh decisions.
Also if it came out in another time zone earlier on steam can always unlock it early...
Also since it would be Vet's day would UPS even deliver? How would all that work
I'm currently in the process of trying to get some guy to gift me Skyrim in exchange for one of my unusual hats in Tf2. This ought to be good.
Just realized how close we are to launch, and between Battlefield 3 and Saint's Row: The Third, I'm pretty much set for the wait!
Hey guys, have you ever noticed how there is an ever-decreasing amount of time until the release of Skyrim and that in the past this amount of time was longer.

I fucking win.
So fucking hard.
The review I read said it's as big as Oblivion/Cyrodiil but due to the mountains you can climb and expanded dungeons, it takes longer to explore everything.
Plus no more treegen nonsense.

Probably could've gotten away with just selling one of them :v:
Seriously, I got DE:HR, From Dust and 4 keys from one
Remind me never to go the official forums for this game again.
I stumbled upon a 7 page thread where people where complaining that the HUD is apparently cluttered. What the fuck, did these people complain that Mirror's Edge had a cluttered HUD as well?

Trading items of no value for item of value. That's a pretty good deal :v:
It's such a shame, I have to get this around the christmas holidays for PC.
Unless I want the 360 version. Which I don't

Which unusual effect was that?
So I have to buy a new Xbox and television to play this game, because I'm currently without my gaming PC on a shitey little laptop in Uni. Bugger it all

How the hell are you able to trade hats for a $60 game? I've never met someone that desperate for tf2 hats.

If that unusual has a good effect he got ripped off. :P

Unusual hats can sell far upwards of 60$.

IMO the hud IS cluttered. I'd rather look in one location for health / mana / fatigue than all over the screen. Again one of the first mods I'd like to get is a UI mod (or if it isn't too much trouble to rearrange it myself I'd just do that).

It works like the stock market pretty much (as far as I can tell). Items gain value because other people want them, though in reality they are often completely worthless. Their only value is trade value.
Its just a "Hat Economy"

Seriously? How would you go about finding someone willing to trade? I might be able to buy 2 of my friends Skyrim.

I also had a trade a long time ago.

I'm attempting to trade my tf2 items for a copy of Skyrim. I shall keep you updated, beardy brothers.
Where the hell are you guys finding these people?
I have all 4 of those items and I'd gladly trade them for Skyrim.
If you look, they were Diamondback 1, Short Circuit 2, and Machina 3 and the other weapon didn't have anything. It was around the same week those items came out, so value was high and I didn't give two shits about those so I made a trade with a friend.
Isn't there something on Steam where you can trade with people instead of having to be in-game? I think that would be the best way to do it.

Can you just go to the dropdown by someones name and click "Invite to Trade?" Doesn't that work?
Can you just go to the dropdown by someones name and click "Invite to Trade?" Doesn't that work?
Ah yes it does. The thing is you might have to find a group of people with TF2, join the group, go into a group chat or talk with them about trading.
