Quad Core reccomended?
:suicide:
Woo, I'm a bit higher than recommended specs!
Oh boy I have 1 gig of ram and 1.6ghz aint gonna run this fuck fuck watdoidonow
Couple hundred bucks and newegg. Go nuts. Or... *sigh* get it for a console...
What kind of settings did you run Oblivion at? Ouch.
Also Oblivion was only 4.6 GB? Wow. Either way maybe they'll do a weird "high res texture pack" post release for people that want it / can handle it? Too optimistic?
Windows 7, quad core CPU, HD4890, 4GB RAM...yeah, I'm good. Should be pre-ordering within a week from now, fuck yes.
recommended is XP/7 not vista haha
Full detailed version on the blog shortly. The odd thing is, my gtx260 is the one with the 896MB. Would break my soul if that kills it for me
recommended is XP/7 not vista haha
who would even use vista in the first place

Probably not. Either way you're set to play the game. If he's correct chances are you wouldn't be able to play on ultra anyways.
Also I have to wonder what kind of performance they base this off of. Is 30 FPS on high for recommended or 24 or 60 or what.

I ran Oblivion with shadows off, 800x600 res, high texture quality, no special shit like bloom because thats ugly as fuck
recommended quad-core.
I hope to GOD it's because of a boss-looking game and NOT horrible optimization.

Well nah, he said the recommended specs get you to play on high, I don't really need to max it out. But yeah, I would also like to know that as well. The performance thing I mean.
Not if some idiots here dont know what the FUCK they are talking about.
Ninjas didn't have black suits, and they certainly DID NOT wear Samurai armor, they're enemies, remember?
They used disguises, and if they ever wore ninja suits, they were dark blue.
Iron was pretty low quality in Japan, so Japanese swords were folded and folded and folded until they were of the same quality as European Long Swords. But if an European smith fucked up their blade, is it still high quality just because it is European? No. Japanese smiths knew damn well how to fold, and here are 2 smiths you might of heard of:
Muramasa and Masamune, 2 of the best swordsmiths and their blades are of more higher quality than most European blades, as they were usually mass produced and made with saving Iron in mind.
That said, I love Arabian Swords, like the Shamshir/Scimitar.
Ninjas and samurais were not enemies. It's not like ninjas were part of a secret merc spy system. Ok, maybe there were merc ninjas but ninjas were trained along with samurai. Don't forget that a ninja need to be a bujin as well.
who would even use vista in the first place
cheap fucks that dont wanna upgra...oh wait.
And technically there's no such thing as a "samurai armor", it's more like a japanese armor because that armor was used by everyone and their mother during the feudal-era.

Forgot to put the recommended specs in there at first, they're in now. :v:
I'll be able to max this out no problem.
recommended quad-core.

No it's for the macro detail
I don't think I can max it, i only have a 4870 :(
but i have 5 GB ram and a quad-core.
Good thing i'm upgrading next year.

Interesting, my card is above the recommended but my processor isn't a quad core. I hope I'll be alright.

Depends on how it's optimized.
Interesting, my card is above the recommended but my processor isn't a quad core. I hope I'll be alright.
Probably.
I'm guessing the quad core is a hint that is isn't going to be the most amazingly flawless port ever. I'm not saying it will be a shit port but what games do you know that actually take advantage of a quad core? Most games just recommend it now a days just for the shit of it.
So basically don't freak out about it if you only have a dual core

Well, maybe not real enmies, but they had conflicting ways.
Samurai is honor-bound, Ninja not
Ninja uses stealth, samurai thinks its a sign of weakness.
And so forth, and so forth
nerds
Do us all a favor and just make a ninja/sword/e-peen superiority thread.
recommended quad-core.

Knowing Bethesda, it's probably the latter.

Ok, but it can never have been more than conflicts on a personal level. In fact, sometimes, in the field, regular footsoldiers were assigned the title of ninja and then sent on a suicide mission to scout the enemy's defenses or the amount of troops he had. And assassinations sometimes, but I mentioned a couple pages back how ninjas actually work.

It's with sadness that I press the agree button.
Also it's interesting that they left Vista out of the recommended specs, probably just an oversight.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that
You know, this specs talk makes me wonder, anyone else have Oblivion play like shit on a fairly modern gaming rig? :suicide: tried every trick out there.
skyrim should have cloaks because it's probably cold there
