Anyone know if Oblivion requires .NET Framework?
Thinking of DLing it from Steam to tide me over until my HDDs get here, but I am unable to play any game that requires .NET Framework (Like GFWL games).
No it does not, atleast that I know of.
Thanks, I didn't think so.
DLing it now!

You must learn the ways of the Steam, young grasshopper

I was going to say that, but then thought maybe he was getting it for PS3.
I wonder if they'll do Hammerfell next. I remember before Skyrim was announced a friend of mine heard a rumor it'd be there instead. It sounds really fascinating, with the desert surroundings.
Black Marsh sounds fucking insane IMO.
All the crazy shit that goes on there would make for a fascinating game.
Only negative would be the lack of diversity in the landscape, since Black Marsh is almost entirely swamp land.
TES MMO, begin with only Cyrodiil and release the other provinces as expansion packs. If you have the appropriate pack when starting a character, may choose to start in your home province instead of Cyrodiil.
Even if they were to just import a full-Tamriel heightmap, get the basic details down and go "open alpha" and flesh out the world as time goes on and as players complain that area X needs detail Y.
I can imagine some of the bug reports from newbies though
"omg this argonan just ran past me really really fast!! i think hes a hacker pls his name was maiq or something"

Can't be a main Elder scrolls game. Only Argonians can survive there, a spinoff, "The eye of Argonia" would be good.

"Ma'iq hears of people who like to complain. Ma'iq says that they are ungrateful."
As DLC, I'd like to go visit other places like High Rock and Hammerfell.
I'd also like to visit some of the other realms of Oblivion like Molag Bal's Coldharbour, Clavicus Vile's Realm, Saquine's Pleasure Pockets (Awww yeah!), Azura's Moonshadow. I wouldn't mind seeing Mehrunes Dagon's deadlands again.
Yoo this isn't Skyrim related but TES nonetheless, I'm doing the Shivering Isles on one of my saves and I have no idea what quest I'm on. I've killed the gatekeeper, I know that, but I don't have a 'Blessing' greater power for either of the sides. I talk to Sheogorath/Haskill but they have no dialogue for me except to only tell me that they've given me a task to do. Sidequests are still available to complete and their characters have full dialogue options. What is going on and how do I fix it? I'm not on PC also.
Any thoughts? I have no completed or active quests concerning the Shivering Isles main storyline.
If there is one thing that I really don't like about Skyrim right now, is that there is too much grunting.

Going to Molag Bal's plane would be a bad idea. Very bad.
How would you guys feel about Fallout 3-style gore in this game? Would you be upset? Or would it add to the realism?
Yep. Realism.
deffiantly buying.
looks realistic.
I think that Bethesda said that they would not leave out and races.
I also think Bethesda said that there would be a fully dynamic AI in Oblivion.

Other races can survive in Black Marsh/Argonia (Argonia is used by the Dunmer).
Just not in the deep swamp. Also Hist Trees. HIST TREES EVERYWHERE.

Bethesda once told me Father Christmas exists and that evryone loves me.
Also, latest info is that light magic can stick to walls (although maybe just from staves) and that only certain NPCs are romancible. Hopefully that will give the developers more focus rather than Fable's "Marry anyone because it doesn't really matter they're all the same anyway" thing.

First page bro.
Also there's a redguard in one of the videos.
Really like the direction they're going with the Khajiit. It's even less "we are cat people mrow :3" and more "Fuck your shit I ain't got time for your messed up fantasies I've got dragons to punch"
Now I need to re-install Morrowind and play some Argonian. It's been a while. Just done with Oblivion for the second or third time. Skyrim is pre-ordered so everything is going alright. :v:

This is starting to bother me aswell, they've also talked about the dragon shouts and how they're spoken in an ancient language used by the dragons, but from the videos I've seen so far the shouts sounds like someones being gagged.
[editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
Haven't heard an ingame shouts that sounds like the awesome dramatic shout in the trailer, just a nord grunting and gagging.

That thought has never hit me once while playing Oblivion
That thought has never hit me once while playing Oblivion
The only thought I got with Khajit in Oblivion was "FUCKING CAT WHY WONT YOU DIE GODDAMNIT."
More Oblivion questions for you all.
I missed the pestle and mortar, so I can use that to make potions and shit?
Is there some sort of trainer to help me with alchemy (guess that's what it's called)?
Do trainers actually help? For example learning armour training from the woman in the shop in Chorrol?
Where is the Arena?
When some dude a few pages ago said buy a house on the waterfront, the fuck is the waterfront?
:v:
Alchemy is shit easy to level up. Just go and raid all the misc barrels in the IC market for food items, and make restore fatigue potions. Once you get to about 50 alchemy skill, it starts to become pretty useful.
trainers are good for a couple of skills if you have the money.
Arena is in the arena district of the imperial city. You go into the bloodworks and talk to the redgaurd dude.

If you don't wanna grind like fuck all day erry day, get used to using skill training.

Mortar and pestle is for alchemy, yes.
There are skill trainers for all skills but some are not worth it since it's easier and cheaper to do it yourself. Might be worth it to take a few lessons if you're bad at it but the higher your level the higher the price.
Arena is in the arena district of imperial city.
Waterfront is at the edge of the imperial city. It's directly south from the city and you can see it on your map. To actually buy the house go to the Office of Imperial Commerce in the Market District. Should cost around 2000 septims.

Works just as well in the mages guild. (Plus you can sell them for useful potions)
currently playing at 25% difficulty
is that extreme pussy mode or is that average? because it's ridiculously easy
Pussy mode.

Considering Oblivion's poor leveling, it's actually average(especially when you level up)
