I think I can run this on Medium/High with a lower resolution but I'm not so sure with my card
why do they even make glossy screens
Glossy screens produce a clearer and better contrasted picture in ideal conditions (with the added bonus of slightly better colors too), only downside is you have to be in a situation where direct light can't easily hit it (or play in a dark room) As for monitor reccomendations go, get IPS. It's basically like all the benefits of a glossy screen, except 2X and without any downside. You'll see a much better upgrade going to an IPS screen than you would going from 20" to say... 24" or so in size.

And I should have known 200 new posts since 6 hours ago was 90% speccy pictures :downs:
I don't get it. Why do people hate Steam? People with some sense: [editline]25th October 2011[/editline] Those were all taken from Bethesda's system requirements post by the way. :downs:

Right, Bethesda prefers Xbox, that's why they release mod tools and basically set their game up for mods... [editline]25th October 2011[/editline]
http://gyazo.com/5e838fae6cef68a665b457db102157a5 Can I run Skyrim?
Probably medium-ish...about like me.
I went to ask my dad if I could use his Paypal to order the parts for my very substantial upgrade (so that I may satisfy my lust for ultra-high settings). He "requires convincing" that custom-built computers are better value for money than pre-built. :suicide:
sometimes I wish you could reply directly to people on Facebook

Just finished doing that, actually (not on Newegg but a similar site for my area): Also I'm pretty sure I forgot a couple of things in there (the list of parts used in the prebuilt's page wasn't that expansive). Anyone got any articles that I may arm myself with?
sometimes I wish you could reply directly to people on Facebook
Facebook needs a dislike button. :v:
Yeah they prefer xbox/consoles, which is why they released more Elder Scrolls games on PC than Console.
Counting Main games in the series, I believe they only released 2 more on PC then consoles.
Facebook needs a dislike button. :v:
But that would make people angry, you know how stupid people are on Facebook.
What about when the dragon picked up the giant and it looked very unnatural? Was that a bug or just way to hard to animated.
I blame it on the lack of a falling animation. The giant just kind of goes limp after being released, letting the ragdoll fall (which is also odd, because the falling seems way too slow to me).
I blame it on the lack of a falling animation.
Counting Main games in the series, I believe they only released 2 more on PC then consoles.
Arena Daggerfall Redguard Battlespire Even if its only 2 more, its still 2 more.
Just print that out and give it to your dad for proof that custom built computers are, in fact, cheaper than pre-builts. [editline]25th October 2011[/editline] Then go from there. :v:
Oh god can I run Skyrim? I think I can run on High, maybe Normal. I think.
No. Go away. [sp]yes[/sp]
Thank you.
the recommended specs list a 4890, But i have one of those 4870x2 2gb's, like where theres the two GPU things in the one card. Is this equivalent or better to a 4890?
It was slow and unrealistic in the first video that showed it, but it's gotten better in more recent videos/builds.
Somebody made a gif that re-sized the giant to human size and the falling speed is fine. the reason it looked off was because its a human shape, but giant, so it looks very out of context when he's falling.
Goodnight, skyrim thread. I'll dream of beards and dragons... and bearded dragons. [editline]Edit[/editline] [editline] Edit[/editline] He's kinda cute.
I'm getting more RAM in a week Will I be able to run it on medium?
So, I know I'm like 4 days late, but that friendly dragon sounds pretty sweet. I hope he's not the only dragon you can interact with beyond "RAWR IMMA SLICE UR HEAD OFF!"
When Skyrim comes out though I'm avoiding this thread like the plague.
When Skyrim comes out though I'm avoiding this thread like the plague.
im gonna drop my isp until i beat it 100%
