Its done ingame though, you can see some texture tiling on the ground at the base of the mountain and the "fog" sprites clip into the ground in a few places. Hey if anyone looked at about 6.30 in the first video posted earlier then you'll see that there are topless statues. Ergo, making azura not topless was an aesthetic decision, not to please soccer moms. (tbh i think new Azura looks the most boss so far).
One of the first mods I'm going to get is one like Dark Messiah, where the spiders are turned into something much less creepy-crawly.

I know you guys hate the "can I run it?" questions, so I'm terribly sorry when I ask you this - if I can run Rage with 2xAA at about 30fps, do I have a chance to run Skyrim at least halfway decently? I am fully prepared for the hate that is going to be channeled towards me.
Dad wanted to know why i was upgrading my graphics card. I told him about Skyrim and he said that he had heard me speaking of it before with one of my mates down the pub. I then introduced him to the trailer and he loved it. He always hums a song while working on his printing business that i help him out with, and today that hum turned into the theme tune of Skyrim. He is now getting his own copie and new GFX card to boot. I now have so much more respect for my dad.

If it's poorly optimized? who the fuck knows. Minimum/recommended requirements are more of a disclaimer than anything. Skyrim is a good looking game, but lets be honest here, it's not cutting edge. Logic dictates that as long as creation engine has some good optimization features built into it you should be able to pull of a good framerate on decent to ultra settings. God knows bethesda gamebryo engine had pretty shit optimization with a hack-ish two stage lod system and resource leaks flying out the wazoo, but from the videos creation has a multi-stage lod system + texture streaming. Assuming creation doesn't suck ass, I dont see why we'd be getting resource leaks or really have that much trouble rendering the average scene in the game. Im going to do what I normally do: turn AA off and turn shadows to the lowest setting that doesn't make them non-existent, then start cranking up all the other settings until I get the best framerate to visual ratio possible. Anybody running mid-range hardware should probably do the same.
