That was obviously sarcasm...
I just don't know what to think now days with all the nitpicking going out about the fucking game engine. I normally just sit back and let people squabble but i really don't see much comparison between gamebryo and creation engine. But yeah reading back on Bobsynergy's post it was sarcasm, just let my message be a warning to any creation engine haters out there.. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
I've never seen something fly so high above someone's head.
To be honest, i am quite terrible when it comes to things like that.

Cancelling my pre-order and returning my Oblivion game due to arm clipping

I really hope that video was filtered somehow because the contrast looks quite fucked up in some places. Shit is too dark sometimes, especially the spaces between bricks and such.
You should easily be able to change the language to English if the game supports it, I'm pretty sure all their games are from Russia and all the FP members who bought Deus Ex from there didn't say anything about being forced to play in Russian.
Yeah I got a russian key of BF3 and all I had to do to make it exactly like the US version was to install the english files and change my registry keys to point to them instead of the russian ones
Those animations looked very, very, Mod-content for Oblivion, in quality... In some spots
also
Reminds me of a cutscene you'd see in Diablo 2 or something
Those animations looked very, very, Mod-content for Oblivion, in quality... In some spots
It's Bethesda. Were you expecting better?
Well for a company that can afford its own development costs and publishing of titles... Yeah, I was
I am so super physicked for this game.
Well for a company that can afford its own development costs and publishing of titles... Yeah, I was
Bethesda has never made one quality animation in history. Putting money aside, they just can't seem to do it for some reason.
I was just saying the head decapitation looked exactly like Fallout 3's, shot for shot, I wasn't slamming Bethesda in any way. You really can't deny it looks identical.
I don't see the problem with animations, they all look fine to me, not only that they blend together quite well. Its not top of the line qaulity of course, but more than acceptable given the scale and overall qaulity of the game. It's more than likely the the exact same guy that did the dismemberment for Fallout 3 is doing it for Skyrim and doing it the exact same way. And besides, how many ways are there to do a decapitation? A head comes off, blood comes out, what more do you want? yellow blood?

Its not reminiscent of anything but the havok physics middleware. Gamebryo didn't handle any of that except for the particle system, and particle systems are particle systems, there's very little difference between each one. The problem you're referring to is probably how the physics model for heads has been made. Once again, an issue attributed to the people who are making the dismemberment assets. You'll also notice the head hits that "ridge" on the block on the way down, thats what makes it roll
also
I am SO picking up that guys head and throwing it on a meat stall

The physics make everything look like it's light as a feather. Oh ok, well, Havok then. although I've seen Havok do way better.
I am sorry to tell you, but heads aren't very heavy.
yeah me too starting boycott group
cancelling my preorder due to arm clipping

It's like the head just said "fuck this I'm outta here"
I am sorry to tell you, but heads aren't very heavy.
they're more heavy than you would think, the head generally represents 8% of your total body weight
I am SO picking up that guys head and throwing it on a meat stall
Im sort of sad that skyrim doesn't have a dark messiah deathboot. My favorite part of that game was soccer-kicking the heads of my enemies at other enemies, highly effective means of combat. If they, like Oblivion, let you re-choose your race at a point at the end of the tutorial, I'll probably spend ages trying out each one. Despite the differences not being huge, the decision will not be an easy one.

Savegame right at the exit. Start every new game from there
Savegame right at the exit. Start every new game from there
Ho, I've never ever thought of that before.

For Skyrim, I'm going to have one day where I lock my self in a room with only Skyrim in the room to avoid playing any other games, set up a capture card, black out drink my self and post results. Then another day, get black out high, and capture those results also. Then put both videos side to side in comparison starting from the same save for both. It will be a great day for science.
