if things don't go well you'll just be polishing your own spear
this can cause blindness
has this leaked yet [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Oh and heres an unboxing video from some guy at IGN. (Xbox 360, regular edition)
wait a minute there's 2 discs
wait a minute there's 2 discs
... No?
has this leaked yet [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] wait a minute there's 2 discs
No that's just where there is a hole in the case so it costs less to make.
wait a minute there's 2 discs
Maybe the soundtrack is included with the first shipment too.
The hell are you people talking about? It's one disc. And yes it does fit on one DVD. [editline]poop[/editline] Assuming you mean the holes in the case, those are the new "eco-friendly" cases that Microsoft uses for 360 games, they have holes cut into them and they are thinner so they use less plastic. Skyrim is one disc, there is no soundtrack or bonus content or anything like that in the standard edition which is what was shown in the video. There was only the manual, the game, the case, the Prey 2 ad, and what appeared to be a reversible cover. No second disc. Now calm down.
wait a minute there's 2 discs
You have now entered {INSERTGENERICEVILDUNGEONNAMEHERE}, please insert disc two for more manliness
So wait, the final product is already done (logical) and some of them are already shipped to reviewers Why are they holding it up? Promotion?
Polish/bugfixing. That and it seems silly to change the release date when it looks so cool as it is. Honestly, 11/11/11. That looks awesome. Sad that it won't work in 2013 or later.
Battlefield 3 had 2 DVDs in the standard edition. So either it's cheap DVD's in the Skyrim case or it's additional content like a soundtrack.
Fuck this. I'm opening a warp zone and going to November 11th 2011!
At 0:37 you can clearly see the holes in the case.
Do you guys not understand how the releasing of a game work? It's not like they keep working on it right up to the day it goes out, there are a number of weeks between the time that the game has started circulation to the stores and when you get it. It's not like the product magically teleports to stores around the world the same day that you go an buy it. The game is done people, it releases to consumers in two weeks. It's been done for a while now, they have to take a few weeks or months for marketing, mass production, shipping to the sellers, and various other things that you seemingly think are done by magic fairies. It is highly possible that your local game store already has their copies sitting in the back waiting for release, if not they will very soon.
With the advent of digital distribution you can bet your ass they are still working on it. (As in to be later work to be released as patches, updates or Expansion packs [I hate the word DLC])

It even magically teleports to your house, as a bonus.
With the advent of digital distribution you can bet your ass they are still working on it. (As in to be later work to be released as patches, updates or Expansion packs [I hate the word DLC])
That falls into post-production work. The full game is complete, and has been for a while. Why people are surprised by this I don't understand seeing as the damn thing will be in their hands in two weeks. (Or on their hard drives as the case may be.)
With the advent of digital distribution you can bet your ass they are still working on it. (As in to be later work to be released as patches, updates or Expansion packs [I hate the word DLC])
Shivering Isles was an expansion, horse armor and houses were DLCs.
It does for Steam, at least. It even magically teleports to your house, as a bonus.
But they aren't going to be working until the very last minute on the Steam version alone. Steam users are going to get the exact same product that retail PC users are getting.
But they aren't going to be working until the very last minute on the Steam version alone. I've never tried to get a game on Steam).
Shivering Isles was an expansion, horse armor and houses were DLCs.
DLC implies anything downloadable. Shivering isles is also downloadable, it is an expansion, but it is also DLC. It's not like those two things are polar opposites. What I'm getting at is that epansions are DLC, expansion is used to describe a larger DLC item but they are still synonyms. People seem to forget that DLC stands for downloadable content and then automatically associate the term with the new rising trend of micro transactions.
13 motherfucking days. Thank god I have Ghostbusters The Videogame to waste some of my time.
Civilization V, ultimate time killer
No that's just where there is a hole in the case so it costs less to make.
lol, american cases
lol, american cases
Actually its a fairly recent thing and its to help the environment (because they take less plastic to produce. Atleast thats what they always say on the cover of em)
Actually its a fairly recent thing and its to help the environment (because they take less plastic to produce. Atleast thats what they always say on the cover of em)
pfft, help the environment my ass. cheaper production more like it.
pfft, help the environment my ass. cheaper production more like it.
Cheaper/Faster to produce and helps the environment (hopefully). I don't see what the problem is. They're a bit more flimsy than a regular case, sure. But that doesn't matter unless you have a bad habit of stacking shit on it.
Can anyone give me a brief rundown of Centurions and what makes them so cool? I'm not really update to date with the lore but you guys seem to be getting a hard on because they're in the game. Are they some sort of special robotic alien humanoid monster?
