Can anyone give me a brief rundown of Centurions and what makes them so cool?
I'm not really update to date with the lore but you guys seem to be getting a hard on because they're in the game.
Are they some sort of special robotic alien humanoid monster?
Oh hi there.
That's the kind of look you get when you accidentally walk into the women's restroom.
I love that bethesda had such a huge concept art focus right from the beginning for this game. I read in an interview that they literally have concept art for just about everything throughout the whole dev cycle.
It REALLY shows. Games like this and DX:HR prove that you don't need technically superior visuals to still be pretty, and I'm glad a select few AAA devs are adopting this mindset.
Also, I'm late but I'm pretty sure Bethesda does use motion capture for their animations, but I think they still have traditional hand-animated stuff for a lot of things. I'm not sure why they don't go all out, because I'm 99% sure that they are rolling in the dough seeing as they are self-published and make massive cash on their games well after release.
I've always worried, that I did reviewing - I wouldn't enjoy games as much, due to thinking about what the write and thinking about good points and bad points through out the game.
I'd hate to review games for a living if I was in Jim Sterling's position on Dtoid. I think a major reason why a lot of his reviews have a negative bias is because he litterally does like 7-8 reviews in a week during busy times, and just 8 hour rushes through games to get a feel for them. So if there's one (usually minor) thing wrong with a game that goes against his mantra, the whole review will end up being really negative I've noticed. Half of his BF3 review was a rant against Battlelog for example, which really isn't THAT bad once you get used to it.

To bad that there are not very much (read: Not at all) companies who focus their game on the culture and story, just look at the classics.
I would say its about the graphics for most, but for something like Skyrim you just need fancy and good graphics to enjoy this.
Thats why i don't get why a fast paced shooter like CoD tries to push so many graphics in their game while they always want to achieve 60fps

It's like the ORLY Bird, only... FROM HELL
I'm going to have a hopeless struggle to complete some games on my current backlog before Skyrim's release.
I still need to finish the BF3 campaign, Missing Link, and my 2nd playthrough of Witcher 2 on the new Dark Mode with and awesome item rebalance mod.
Problem is, that effectively after skyrim's release, all games from Before Skyrim (B.S.) will become distant history and no longer be relevant to modern time, and the only relevant game to exist for a long time during the After Skyrim (A.S.) period will be Skyrim.
Basically, history becomes rewritten and rebooted when Skyriim comes out. Its like the end of the world, except nobody dies. I'm running out of time!!

Every game we knew and loved will become BS.
I just converted all of my friends to skyrim today, one of them cancelled his MW3 preorder.

I do hope you will be more excited about Skyrim then uh, MW3
I do hope you will be more excited about Skyrim then uh, MW3
If anything I am much more excited for MW3, as co-op with my boyfriend means more to me than Skyrim. But don't let me shit on your parade. Because I'm honestly excited equally for both. I can love both game series.
MW3? Your right to Skyrim has been revoked.
I'll be enjoying more games than you are.

You're very easily offended
Do you feel offended or anything?
No, I just find it silly that people can't enjoy both or something. :v:

I never forced you to not like anything. Just saying that i hoped for you that you would be more excited about Skyrim then MW 2 with new textures

MW2 with a continued plot and added guns/features.
[editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Nope.avi
I'll be enjoying: Skyrim, BF3, Saints Row 3, and Uncharted 3.
Quality > Quantity anyway, but in this case there's 4 quality games.
Touche (how is uncharted anyway?)

Yup, MW 3 + annoying meme. fits like harmony :v:
So, I have not played any elder scrolls game before (please don't kill me), and I wanted to know, do I need to check some lore before entering the world of Skyrim?
So, I have not played any elder scrolls game before (please don't kill me), and I wanted to know, do I need to check some lore before entering the world of Skyrim?
Actually you can pick up alot of that stuff in-game by reading the books in there and just to follow side quests and the main story line
Just play and if you see something interesting you want to know more about you can check the lore out

would help you get the references and stuff, but honestly no. I always found Elder-Scroll games to be easy to access for veteran and newbie alike.
Add Reinak on Xbox Live, he has Skyrim. He's level 8 and has the Unbound, Blood Oath, Apprentice and one other achievement.
... Lucky bastard.
He also has Saints Row: The Third. Apparently he is an editor for GameInformer, his name is Andrew Reiner.
Kind of annoyed that the game is coming out on steam at 1am pst and not midnight pst. Oh well it's only a 2 hour wait when I get home that day so as long as there is a preload I'll be happy.
It's coming out at 1am PST?
Whyyyy, Bethesda is on the east coast you'd think they'd want it unlocked at midnight their time.
Yah go look at the steam page..says 8 hours from now on the release date.

Pretty sure Valve is in control of steam release times not Bethesda.
We better get that preload

also here's that NEW video WITH CENTURION
That music is so awesome I hope it's ingame not generic music they got
Why cant the flame atronach be intimidating like the one in morrowind. They did the "fire fairy" thing again
I went into that abondoned ebony mine near balmora and that fire atronach walked around the corner and I ran :saddowns:
But the CENTURION makes up for it I guess
My gaming pc is getting taken away for repairs next friday, I'll get it back a week after that.
Which means I'll have to spend an uncomfortable few days with a copy of Skyrim and no pc. I guess I could stare at the box until I go into some kind of Skyrim-themed sleep deprived trance.

Study the map and then the week after play the game without ever looking at the real or in-game map.

You think the Morrowind Flame Atronach was intimidating?
Also, the Oblivion and Skyrim one's are literally the same thing as Morrowind's, just female in appearance instead of male like it was in Morrowind. I like them, actually.
