My friend ordered the most recent AVP game and it didn't come for 2 months. During this time they said they would send it to be there next day, that was a month after the order got placed so when it came he totally forgot he ordered it.
Regardless of when you get the game Steam won't unlock it and let you play it until 12:01 AM November 11th. So, people getting it early, have fun with your antagonizing paperweight.

VPNs say otherwise

Which is why more devs should use worldwide release dates. That way it's fair.

I was gonna make a smart comment, then remembered there are timezones... rate dumb.
Just play oblivion and imagine there are dragons in it but you never see them.
Ask if there'll be a preload on Steam
Ask if there'll be a preload on Steam
I asked a couple of hours ago and he did not respond. Someone else could try though as he might have missed my question.
I'm pretty sure somebody asked him ages ago and he said yes, just scroll through his Tweets and Ctrl+F until you find a Tweet mentioning preload. I'm too lazy to do it.
[editline]qwkjdbvgf[/editline]
Well nevermind, I just did and couldn't find it. I specifically remember that Tweet, though. I asked again, we'll see.
Now i just need to find out which stores in my area are planning a midnight release and I'm set
Anyone else see this tweet? I hope he's not exaggerating.

They better, having Khajit and argonians sound the same is fucking dumb.
And orcs and nords.
And all three elves.
AND EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE THEY HAD THREE GUYS VOICE ACTING THE WHOLE THING
Just got a message from the boss of the company i bought skyrim from, they said i can have it a day earlier because of the steam lock.
Got a whole day to read every single thing from the cloth map, game box and the manual

You must absorb all of the information included, report back to us, and then transfer your powers to us with your mind, so that we all may have day one info on the general shape of the map.

I swear i thought he said ''across the beard"
i thought "oh of course, everyone's voice sounds muffled trough a beard that makes sense"
I'm not worried about the voice acting seeing as there are 70 actors now as opposed to Oblivion's 14. (That's not an exaggeration, there were literally 14 voice actors in Oblivion.)
[editline]noforreals[/editline]
Seriously. Look it up.
Every day I get more fucking pumped!

I honestly thought there were less. But I never counted Martin and Patrick Stewart.

You'd think there would be <20 because there are 10 playable races
You'd think there would be <20 because there are 10 playable races
Plus Picard, martin, the dremora and some of the daedra I guess.

Same here but apparently some of the actors did male/female voices for multiple races.

Orcs, Nords, Argonians, and Khajiits all shared the same male VA.
All Elf males shared the same voice actor.
Two of the elves shared the same female voice actor. (No wait it's all of them actually.)
Argonians and Khajiits shared the same female VA.
Why was Bethesda so lazy with the voices?
They didn't have a large budget, it's not that they were lazy. Bethesda was a tiny studio running out of the ZeniMax building's basement. They have a larger crew, budget, and work space now.

ninja'd.
I'm still not expecting much in the way of voice quality from Skyrim.
New Vegas had around the same amount of voice actors and basically everyone sounded the same.
(This is extremely prevalent when everyone in the BoS is a clone of Yuri Lowenthal.)

I'm a little iffy on 70 voice actors as well. I'm guessing many of them have different accents and tones they can use? Most likely edit some of the voice files?

Ok you clearly have no idea what I'm talking about. Getting skyrim for pc, retail or not, chances are you can unlock it early. Here's how you do it: it comes out in a different time zone but not yours. You go use a VPN from that time zone, restart steam. Steam now thinks you're in that location and unlocks the game for you. It does work people do it all the time.
So as soon as it unlocks in any 1 time zone you can unlock it. Which is why I hope New Zealand unlocks it at 12 AM their time so I can get it a 7 AM Thursday if I'm doing that math right.
Any good free VPNs
