BF3 is dumb CoD is dumb RO2 is good Oblivion was good Morrowind was dumb, even for its time Skyrim will be good FC1 was good FC2 sucked FC3 will be neat This is my opinion and I'm proud of being able to state it. I know nobody will understand me or accept it, but that's the way I roll.
Don't even explain it or give reason, besides this is totally the call of elder scrolls, fary cry of the red skyrim thread. You know, cause those games are related.
they aren't in the game
DLC probably.... ugh
Morrowind had far more care put into its creation than Oblivion
wow I missed this fucking gem
Holy fuck i started a shitwar No wait what are we arguing about?
Hey now, while New Vegas is more structured than the bethesda games (since it's made by obsidian, who are very good at storytelling but haven't made a freeroam game before) Morrowind is the most open RPG I've played. There's literally no compulsion to actually do the main quest, and even the guy who goves you the opening missions plays down their importance and tells you to explore.
I really disliked the fog though, and found no mod around to disable it. It is a giant wall for me, because I like the idea to know where I'll go and see my goal. Even the map had no name whatsoever. But right now I'd want an answer for my werewolf question rather than see this argument going on and on. I think we basically saw every possible angle of the argument and there is no need to keep going.
New page, new start. We can end the arguing right here, it'll be great, we can all be friends again. Right? Apparently not.
Since when are we not allowed to express what we like/don't like about a game? Are we supposed to be 100% pleased no matter what? Is it wrong to want something more from a game?
prove it
well for one every dungeon and interior in Morrowind was hand crafted while Oblvion was copy and paste modular
DLC probably.... ugh
werewolves weren't in morrowind either till you bought the expansion pack

You could have said that it was Skyrim footage..
Oh the times when I miss the general discussion thread for TES.
Download Morrowind Graphics Extender
Thanks, gonna help a lot I'm sure.
well for one every dungeon and interior in Morrowind was hand crafted while Oblvion was copy and paste modular
that doesn't mean they didn't copy and paste with care
Thanks, gonna help a lot I'm sure.
Get the XE version as you get amazing looking shadows with no cost to performance, just follow this http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1114956-shelter-from-magnus-blaze-2/
This is turning into /v/. Stop before it's too late!
"Anonymous 10/30/11(Sun)13:40 No.115286889 In the advent of the shitstorm that is skyrim leak I would like to take a second of your time to ponder something that actually makes me scratch my head as I notice it over and over here. Quality of the game aside, I'm really troubled by the " Fuck you all I will have fun with it and there is nothing you can do about it". It's being used with Mass Effect, Battlefield 3 and all the other threads where people have problems with the game. It baffles me to no end. Why would so many people post it. It's an argument of a person with no arguments, a literary analogy for sticking you fingers up your ears and going "lalala I don't care". It brings nothing to the discussion, is irrefutable and just plain dumb. Fun is subjective, it's a sum of all pros and cons you have in a given game. If you say "Fuck your arguments, game will be fun anyway" why won't you at least tell us why it will be fun. I know it's /v/ and discovering that it's filled with idiots doesn't take titanic intellect, but I find this newest incarnation of stupidity particularly depressing. I suspected it to be an elaborate troll of some kind, but as I see more and more people type that I really start to suspect that some of them really think that, and feel the need to share this revelation with us. Please /v/, you can have as many stupid opinions as you like, but at least allow us to debate them." Nah, /v/ is self aware. :v:
well for one every dungeon and interior in Morrowind was hand crafted while Oblvion was copy and paste modular
I'm pretty sure some were copy and pasted too. Lots in Morrowind looked the same. Infact I'm pretty sure both it and Oblivion had computer-generated terrain and only Fallout3/NV and Skyrim are actually hand-crafted.
Never played Morrowind, Oblivion was my childhood, however I can tell I would prefer Oblivion even if I played Morrowind because I would find the dice rolls instead of skill based dynamic combat tedious, but that's just me. A lot of the bickering really comes down to what style of player you are. at the end of it all, the elder scrolls series had to start somewhere, and morrowind and oblivion are just stepping stones for skyrim, we should be thankful for their existence because otherwise we would be bogged down with mediocre military FPSes oh wait we are already never mind
Get the XE version as you get amazing looking shadows with no cost to performance, just follow this http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1114956-shelter-from-magnus-blaze-2/
Well, wouldn't say no cost explicitly, but it is fairly negligible. Overall MGE XE is just way better than the vanilla extender. The shaders included with it by default are well done, too
You could have said that it was Skyrim footage..
Can't you tell by the thumbnail?
How old are you
19... hmmm. maybe not my childhood, but i've been playing it for as long as I can remember
Just note that Morrowind and Oblivion are in the same fucking game series.
Is there a mod that removes Morrowind's terrible dice rolls? It bugs the shit out of me after playing Oblivion.
Just note that Morrowind and Oblivion are in the same fucking game series.
yeah so? it's not like people don't argue which megaman game is the best or which pokemon game is superior. whats your point?
I'm pretty sure some were copy and pasted too. Lots in Morrowind looked the same. Infact I'm pretty sure both it and Oblivion had computer-generated terrain and only Fallout3/NV and Skyrim are actually hand-crafted.
While the Morrowind terrain itself was generated from a height map, everything else (like rocks and things) was hand-placed. Terrain generation wasn't as advanced back then. Sadly, neither was modelling and such, which resulted in an apparent lower amount of tile-set variety. Daggerfall was very generated though, and it shows.
