Oblivion/Fallout 3/New Vegas have always stuttered for me, even if I'm getting good performance otherwise.
I like how people are whining about the low-res textures while I'll probably be playing on low textures if it isn't too terrible. For some reason a smoother framerate has always been more immersive than high-quality textures for me, and I pretty much know that I'll need to play on medium-low at best to get a smooth framerate in this. Also, considering the hardware limitations they had to work with for the Xbox 360, the textures are pretty decent from what I've seen, especially for a game of this scale.
I can run oblivion on highest (A huge achievement, i know!) and Crysis on medium with no stutters, quite a lot of stuttering on High. Reckon this can be run fine? I'll post my specs if needed, or someone can just post the specs for the game and I'll check them out myself. Greatly appreciated!
But why are they cutting it for PC? Hires texture packs exit for a reason. Hires packs from developer are even more awesome.
I really need a new processor, having a 9800GT with only a 2.1 GHz core 2 duo is kind of a waste.
Then again, both are quite outdated. I recommend selling that rig to someone and buying a good, balanced rig. Because if you upgrade part by part, you'll never have a balanced rig and your computer will never reach its full potential - therefore you are losing money. I know because i had a piece of shit rig which cost me a lot because i upgraded part by part.
Guys we have seen screenshots and videos. The game looks really good and thats all that matters. A game doesn't need a super advanced engine in order to look good. Take Trine 2 for example: Engine wise this was easily possible in 2007. But it looks fucking amazing. The artists are who make the difference.

Tried asking Pete if we can summon the King of Mudcrabs in game. Though he usually doesn't answer my questions :(
I quickly downloaded the first tutorial leak, could maybe re-upload it if someone wants it?

I just checked my schools calendar, we get veterans day(the 11th) off. It's good to be American.
Did I miss anything in the last 20 pages? I haven't been here in a while.
I just checked my schools calendar, we get veterans day(the 11th) off. It's good to be American.
American here Haven't had vets day off in years if ever.
Did I miss anything in the last 20 pages? Also, the textures seem to be of a lower resolution, so there was discussion about that.

I really hope a single 6970 can max this game, I have to sell my 2nd 6970 to pay off some bills ):
The finishing moves seem to work well. They don't seem excessive or unnatural, which is good.

I'm thinking of buying "The infernal City" but as with all video game related spinoff stuff I'm sceptical. Have anyone read it and can tell me what they think of it?

Shit, we're going through this thread faster than one gets pissed at cliffracers.
Did that video contain story details or just the first 20 of free gameplay? Was it taken down?
It was pretty spoilerific in terms of the beginning of the game and how shit goes down.
It was so easy to guess anyways. Two weeks ago I planned it out in my head. [sp]Right before axe swings, dragon pops up, shit gets lit on fire.[/sp] Pretty predictable but it's an improvement on Oblivion and Morrowind's beginning.
It was so easy to guess anyways.
True. [sp] They couldn't have a particular faction help you escape as that would make the player want to help said faction. It had to be an enemy that everyone would consider an enemy; a dragon. That sets the player at a neutral standpoint with the world and wondering wtf is going on. The fact that Jills are that powerful is pretty scary as well. [/sp]
Canadians get it off as well for Remembrance Day
Are you serious? Damn they're not giving me a day off.
The textures look so awful, confirmation that the game only being 6GB isn't because of amazing compression after all? What worries me is we've seen no PC footage and as far as i know no PC review copies, seems like Bethesda is hiding something.
Are you serious? Damn they're not giving me a day off.
I know that feel, Canabro. My district tries its hardest to keep us in school even when the roads aren't maneuverable and every town around us is out.
