Only better.
No, its not perfect, neither was Oblivion, but we all fucking loved it anyway.
shh don't say that here you'll bring the wrath of god down on our very heads
I think the major malfunction people have is they expected it to be completely polished and bug free, and looking better that crysis. I think what these people needed to realise is that this is a bethesda game, and like all their games will transcend superficial flaws like levitating NPCs or, uh, 16 years without diagonal running animations. Even fallout 3, which was by all counts abysmally written, full of weapons that felt a little off and devoid of diagonal walking animations, with a green tint on everything, kept me incredibly entertained for hundreds of hours.
I don't' understand this post. How can you say the animation tech is good when you've literally just quoted a gif of a dude sliding across the floor.
Nothing to do with the animation, it's a bug. When the game is working as it should the animations look great. Contrast this to when oblivion was working as it should, the animations still looked abysmal.

The best part of this: I know Pretty Obscure in real life and his PC can't run Skyrim :v:
At least, probably not...

ha ha yeah, you hear about that one where Todd Howard married some woman and a man walked out of their bedroom on the wedding night :quagmire:
I just hope Skyrim's Modding community isn't going to do sex mod after sex mod after sex mod.... :suicide:
Abandon all hope.
A late thought: The bad textures might be caused by it being the PS3 version.

My PC will be fine, shut your mouth.
Well i guess he can gift me it then since i just upgraded my pc!
Well, as it turns out, his PC beats out the minimum specs, so it looks like he wins this one.
A late thought: The bad textures might be caused by it being the PS3 version.
Oh boy that reminds me of the PS3 version of Oblivion, after a whole year it was released on the PS3 and the textures where popping up and where clearly stretched
Well, as it turns out, his PC beats out the minimum specs, so it looks like he wins this one.
But mine beats recommended spec :(

As does mine. But he won, fair and square. Besides, he already got the gift.

All this kidding around seems quite serious[sp]and pathetic[/sp]to me.
[editline]awd[/editline]
No offence to you, but that is what it seems like.
Me too...

No offense taken my good chap!
How about you all shut up and preorder it the manly way, spending money you earned [del]by selling crack to schoolchildren[/del] with your hard labor and fatigue, instead of crying to get it gifted somehow, eventually?
I'm only kidding around, fair play to him. He can do what he wishes with it.. Regift to me..
It's only £28 from amazon
I just hope Skyrim's Modding community isn't going to do sex mod after sex mod after sex mod.... :suicide:
i hope they'll make the sex mods better than oblivion's, in morrowind the sex mods were very well done.

Get her her own computer and Steam account.
I have a serious worry that I'll be spending too long creating my character! I'll most likely create one, complete the intro, then revert back to the start thinking I can create a better character! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to character creating in which you can't change your looks after the beginning.
EDIT:
Thinking about it, I lied, that isn't my serious worry. My serious worry is what the fuck to I do for 11 days.
I want a free copy of Skyrim, and I want it now!

Yeah I'm completely stumped on what kind of character I want to make and how I want him/her to look. I'll be spending hours on the character creation a lone.
I don't get why you guys pretty much throw insults and sarcastic comments at people who point out the bad things about the recent gameplay videos.
I'm aware it's played on a console, but the textures are bad, the animations are robotic and the combat looks pretty much like Oblivion, and all of these will most definitely be present on the PC version as well.
And before I get showered with "graphics don't matter, gameplay does", yes, but the things I listed above also takes away from the experience.
Yes, I'll still buy the game.

I have confidence Bethesda will release good patches. While it is good I hope modders don't have to make HUGE unofficial patches like in Oblivion to fix problems Bethesda missed. We'll see, though.
