Is anyone actually curious as to what my Morrowind character looks like?
You still have that weaboo kawaii desu~~~ char? [editline]29th July 2011[/editline] Also where the fuck can I get that Friends and Lovers mod. I've searched the internets for it but I cannot find it.
You still have that weaboo kawaii desu~~~ char?
I tend only make one character in each game although I usually dabble in other things with that character and keep the good/fun stuff. I've not played Morrowind in ages so I should still have that character.
and then your parents/housemates send you to a mental hospital because you're talking to dragons and besides, you're doing it wrong - you're only allowed to shout leroy jenkins if you run into a shit load of dragons
I don't think numbers are the main factor here just that the odds are overwhelming against me. If my parents haven't sent me to a mental hospital yet they never will. [editline]29th July 2011[/editline]
I still remember those pics you gave me.
one thing, just one thing. i want to have that music from the trailer, in the game. please please please.
afaik it's pretty much confirmed that the trailer music will be the menu music
afaik it's pretty much confirmed that the trailer music will be the menu music
good, but i meant, in the GAME in the game.. like when your walking around.. or fighting.. but i guess if it's not i can always just change the sound files around
I'm looking forward to some sort of soundtrack.
It's a pity Skyrim's theme does take a while to kick in, though. No prominent melodic voice. [editline]29th July 2011[/editline] Actually, the "epic" does seem a little forced compared to Morrowind's and Oblivion's. [editline]29th July 2011[/editline] SASS - Skyrim Advanced Sorting Software
I really don't like the look of the Skyrim menus and the inventory. It's like what they did with Dragon Age 2, it looks all modern when it really doesn't fit with the rest of the game. It's a horrible thing to say but I actually prefer the default Oblivion UI, some kind of ye olde font on parchment. It fits a lot better. Though I do like the 3D model preview thing that they've got going on.
Though I do like the 3D model preview thing that they've got going on.
i must have missed that, do you have a link?

It seems to be using tons of space and then sacrificing some of it for the sake of aesthetics - stop it, it's only going to be optimal at high resolutions that way. I especially loathe the fact that there's absolutely no way of knowing how many items there are in a list, but I think that's going to be changed. Hopefully a DarNified will make it more dense like it did to Oblivion's.
Just bought the house in Cheydinhal, it's cosy :3:. One thing I definitely want to see in Skyrim is the return of player houses, and I would really like to be able to buy display cases for my home. They look awesome in shops, and I want to but my badass weapons in them that I don't use anymore for them to be on display. Sure I could just put them on a shelf, but that doesn't feel the same.

Sexilivion, of course. [editline]29th July 2011[/editline] I've heard Friends and Lovers is more interesting, though:
2) Friends & Lovers...does anyone here use this? It's an adult-themed mod, very buggy and unintuitive but nevertheless hilarious IMO. You can basically shag anyone off the road as long as they like you well enough. With the mod active, I paid Jensine a visit at Good As New (hey, don't give me that look...I've got TNR & some hotness textures, so she's definitely shaggable!) and warmed her up to the idea. She left shop unattended and followed me into one of BC IC's deserted alleyways. When prompting her again, she declined, stating that the Market District was too crowded for that kind of thing (who'd have thought), and that we should go somewhere more private. So, being the gentleman I am, I escorted her to the Merchant's Inn down the street and bought us a room. Upstairs and inside with the door closed, I prompt her one final time, and she inquires, "Who of whom, will have fun?"...eh, okay. Onward to the position selection screen, and my character chooses "I want from behind". Good man. Jensine tells me to "keep my hands", and we're off! I'm drawn into an awkward body-camera mode not unlike the FFP view in Unnecessary Violence, looking down at Jensine and listening to her pant & moan. The camera has the potential to get extremely wonky here, to the point of possibly forcing you to restart your game after the act is finished due to the camera never returning to your body (despite using the tfc ommand, which is largely ignored in this mod). Pressing the assigned hotkey repeatedly will wrap things up, sending your character into a pumping frenzy until finally you stand and she kneels, and a magical aura sweeps over both (literally). Jensine proclaims that "every little bit helps" (hilarious), and then will randomly either hang around for round two or leave the way she came. The mod actually gives you a diary to keep track of all your exploits, some of which can get a little fuzzy in the morality department. For instance, tapping the hotkey when brushing past a female Khajiit passerby will tear her clothes off and automatically drop her onto your lap, with her calling out to guards and screaming, "such violence!" all the while. This counts as a rape in your diary, but occasionally you'll have the tables turned and get raped yourself, with a strapon! This doesn't alert the guards, and she'll usually spout some snide remark when she walks away, leaving you thoroughly humiliated. Another funny thing with the dairy is that it has a 'favorite boy/girl' entry, so you can actually have a regular fb in Oblivion! All joking aside, though, it has one big problem that will break any thief character's game for good. Thieving at night becomes impossible, because...well, no one is sleeping. Everyone is randy and going at it, with a bedmate or themselves. I can't begin to describe the utter disgust at breaking into a Leyawiin house at 3am and hearing moaning coming from upstairs, only to discover a Khajiit pounding away at his Argonian lover. The hilarious thing is that when you're discovered breaking in (which you always will be, because they're not asleep), the dominant male will stand up and start screaming about his privacy. "Can't a man have a little privacy?! Get out!" he'll yell, and then just as you're leaving, the moaning will start up again. Truly disgusting.
It's not on any of the established mod sites, though, which is a pity. I'm a bit skeptical, though... (actually, just checked: it's Friends and Lovers.)

Wow I've been doing some of the DB quests in Oblivion recently and I think those were the most fun out of all the factions. I was also surprised at myself for getting a little emotional about the contract where [sp] you had to kill that elf in the imperial city who was a skooma addict[/sp] :saddowns:
Oh, if only Bethesda games could have the Dark Messiah combat system (plus M&B blocking and horse combat) and non-finicky physics
Hell yes. Dark Messiah has the best combat. I wish there was an open world game (i.e Skyrim) with basically an exact copy of Dark Messiah's combat system. I also agree with the M&B blocking and horse combat, although to be honest I'm not sure how much of an advantage it would give you. Generally a cavalryman's advantage is when they're in formation with a large body of cavalry. Otherwise they're just a guy who can't fully control which direction they're going and who can be easily immobilized by a slash to the exposed legs. If you could get a group though, that might help. EDIT: Or a mail/lammelar/whatever skirt that covered your horse down to the hooves. Then you'd have quite the advantage.
