at least their faces have definition
oblivion just had potatoheads with varying tones
they're dark elves, what do you expect? rather this than the shit you see on tesnexus, right?
No! Anything but Tes nexus!
No! Anything but Tes nexus!
Don't mess with Te- Nexus.
The only good elf race I could find on Nexus was one that added a more lord-of-the-ring like elf, which was a good thing because it was annoying to make an elf that looked like an old dehydrated sponge.
...after the assassination of its King...
Ohh didn't see that one coming.
Seriously though, I'm so hyped for this!
Is this sung to the tune of a Tenacious D song by any chance?
I'm imagining them singing that now. I wish they would

Right arm is higher then left, would not fuck, cancelling pre-order
If I recall correctly the mod was Lattamer. All pictures of the race somewhat look like anime kawaii characters but once I downloaded the thing I actually was pleasantly surprised - there's an option to rid the character of the metric fucktons of makeup it usually has, and it's rather easy to make a decent looking face without falling in the manga territory. I just wish the skin texture was more detailed so you could make a character that without looking like an old piece of dry wood still looks used by battle and experience.

My left arm is higher than my right arm :smug:

I prefer my characters kawaii as fuck, I want my characters so kawaii that they bleed rainbows when they get hit.
man I really want to enjoy skyrim
but i'm so so so sick of the gamebryo engine, having spent so many hours dealing with it in oblivion, fallout 3 + new vegas like everyone else.

Its a new engine, it uses Gamebyro as its base as far as i know but other then that most shit is all writen from the ground up.
And like gamebyro most shit was patched with the unofficial patch / mods
Damn, finally caught up.
anyway, seeing the intro footage has made me think I really don't want to be a Nord. The whole intro was filled with Nords (or Imperials), and while it'll probably be more diverse later on, obviously the human races are going to be pretty prominent. So I'd rather stand out from the crowd a bit more.

If you want to stand out of the crowd all the way, go with the elf race. I've read something about involving racism against elves in Skyrim.
Can't provide source though, because I can't find the page it was on anymore..
Redguard all the way baby. Gonna be cracking a lot of dragon sucka skulls.
I asked around and surely around 30 guys want to see it so i will be posting it here
On 11-11-11 i will stream and comment about the first part of Skyrim.
If anyone is interested (I doubt it since most of you already bought Skyrim) let me know
I have lost my hype for skyrim today.. whats happening?!

You have been overhyped and you cooled down.
Don't worry, in a few days you are refreshing this thread every second.
Also to add up to the hype
Listen to the OST, make http://skyrim2011.info/ your homepage and play Oblivion / Morrowind
Fucking 1000 new posts and it's all dead links to leaked gameplay and trolling
God damn mods need to nuke threads more often unless they really like having FP be just like /v/ (which I though we tried to avoid). I mean I don't think tons of games will be good / are good but you don't see me going into their threads to shit on them.
Thread rules would go over the line would it? (Like LMAO)

Doing all of them things. I just have this niggling feeling that bethesda are going to pull the same on us like what they did with oblivion. Promise all these cool features and then to find out its not actually in the retail game. Also ive been playing oblivion lately and i don't mind the combat to much but i really hope for it to be a bit better in skyrim, but from what everyones saying it sounds like its going to be the same?

Believing Bethesda i think they keep the "main" gameplay aspects from Oblivion, improve these and put them in a new coat of Skyrim
But as always when i get hyped i get less hyped because i think it turns into shit and worrie if it is still good
I had this with Halo 3, GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption and Forza 4 and they where all fucking amazing
And even if it IS going to be utter shit (prob wont happen) but we always got the Mod community
I very much doubt it could be utter shit. But a disapointment to many is a 50/50 bet with this game

Just remember that every Bethesda game every has been riddled with non game breaking bugs at release.
Also the bigger your expectations the more potential disappointment :)
So, I've never played any other elder scrolls game (Except a bit of Oblivion, I had a shit PC at the time and the Xbox I was using to play it scratched the disc up)
how much will I be missing out on, if I play this.

Nothing you couldn't pick up fairly quickly I'm guessing. The game will probably explain it all to you in the opening (I haven't seen it though). The games hold up by themselves and have references to the older ones. Basically all you really need to know is that the Empire holds the continent and it's losing it's grip on it. This territory is rebelling. You are the last "dragon born," the same type of thing that the Emperors used to be (and there is no emperor right now I think, the last one died in Oblivion). So basically the Elder Scrolls are a bunch of prophecies and they predicted this rebellion and they said that dragons would come back with it and only you can stop them
