They're not "hiding" anything per say but they just don't want people playing an unscripted session for the masses to observe.

Think about it, in those streams there were bugs. Do you think that gamespot, IGN (lol) or any other professional game reviewer would leave footage of a game-breaking bug like getting stuck in terrain? I don't think so.

Now it is kinda disappointing to see that kind of bug but it's to be expected from a Bethesda game. Some people don't realize this, see the streams and Bethesda loses out on sales.

So it is in their best interest to remove them mainly because these streams can potentially give the game a bad image.

That and most of us don't want the story to be spoiled. The second I know for a fact the game has been leaked I'm leaving the thread until I've beat the mainquest in Skyrim for myself. I don't want anyone to spoil the game for me.

Let me rephrase that: I don't want some jackass going and yelling plot details at the midnight release. The more people that are out there with a leaked copy, the more likely it is to happen. Bethesda knows this, and that's the reason they don't want the game to be shown in videos like this.

I said, if i were a more suspicious person, and frankly, and of course reviewers wouldn't, because they get money to put it in as positive a light as possible, look at the results of reviewers giving bad or notso positive reviews of games, and frankly, a review of a scripted session or a session where they are told by advisors what to do and where to go, is worthless as a review.

I can understand them not wanting the footage to be released, especially since it's been leaked, I merely commented that If i were more suspicious, I'd find something funny with just how fast things get taken down.
