I saw diagonal running animations! Pretty sure they were confirmed way back, but I actually. Saw. Them.
For many years the DIVINES spoke of Prophesies telling the story of Diagonal Running Animations!
I've never quite understood why people thought that was worth complaining about.
From what I can gather it's just one of those niggling little immersion breakers that reached Meme status.
I'm more curious to see if there's any degree of customization when forging your own weapons or armor, even if it's just improved stats due to skill.
Basically you can craft every basic weapon in the game, but your smithing stat needs to high enough to craft orcish or dwarven tools etc.. +lots of perks are like "crafting dwarven stuff costs half the mats" or "double upgrades". You can also craft robes and headgear like circlets for casters that have magical abilities. For example, to craft a orcish chestplate you need to have at least 50 (random number, I have no idea) smithing skill, then you can smelt orcishidium (cant remember the exact name) bars, and combine with leather straps, stell, iron etc to craft your chestpiece at the forge. Then you can go to the workbench and upgrade your armor with another set of orcish metal bars a certain number of times, i think 2 normally and another 2 times with the perk. Then you could proceed to the enchanting altar and give your new armor magical proprieties... btw you need a perk to be able to upgrade magical armor, so I think it's best to upgrade your armor to max before enchanting it if you dont have the perk
I've never quite understood why people thought that was worth complaining about.
It's immersion breaking, moving diagonally but running like you're going straightp ulls you out of the game. Plus every other game worth mentioning has animations which match what you're doing. It'd be like Battlefield 3 not having an animation for switching weapons, it's a small thing but without it the illusion is broken.

I never really noticed it as a problem, although that was generally due to me playing in first person 95% of the time.
Just figured out my specs surpass the recommended with flying colours! My RAM only just however, 4GB... Anyone got any idea when we will be able to pre load? It's like torture having it sitting there on steam!
I've never quite understood why people thought that was worth complaining about.
It's just fucking ugly to moonwalk side to side is all
I've never quite understood why people thought that was worth complaining about.
it looks like dog shit and it takes you out of the game

I've only been gone a day, I come back and now werewolves are confirmed? Holy shit, I've gotta keep away from this thread, I don't want to spoil anymore!
if we can't preload then i am cry
Pete hines comfirmed we can
how long have you been at work
Since 7am. I didn't check the thread much last night either though.
I've only been gone a day, I come back and now werewolves are confirmed? Holy shit, I've gotta keep away from this thread, I don't want to spoil anymore!
they aren't confirmed. In fact they were confirmed to not be in the game
they aren't confirmed. In fact they were confirmed to not be in the game
Yeah, I knew Todd said they wouldn't be, I just scrolled back a few pages and saw some images and was like "what the fuck" and quickly exited the page haha.
Did the werewolf gameplay happen to be in the stream? Because I went to bed as I thought it had been shut for good :(
they aren't confirmed. In fact they were confirmed to not be in the game
[sp]There is one in the game and I believe he gives you a spell to turn into a werewolf.[/sp] SUPER SPOILER: http://i.imgur.com/w8bVO.jpg
Did the werewolf gameplay happen to be in the stream? Because I went to bed as I thought it had been shut for good :(
fuck, there aren't any werewolves goddamn
Nice to know that Wes Johnson, the voice of Sheogorath is confirmed in Skyrim. Would love to return to the madhouse!
That same guy voiced Lucien Lachance, the Gray Fox, the Arena Announcer, Dremora, The Prophet, Pelinal Whitestrake, and as mentioned above me, pretty much every male imperial in the game. He also voiced Mister Burke, Fawkes, Protectrons, Sentry Bots, and Scribe Bigsley in Fallout 3. I'd prefer not having the same voice actors from oblivion to be honest. I'm tired of them and it kind of breaks my immersion hearing the same voices over and over again in every Bethesda game.

So i'm also excited and all but there's one thing bugging me - i've never played any other Elder Scrolls games - i only have Morrowind, but i never felt the urge to play it, and seeing how close Skyrim is i probably won't be able to finish either Morrowind or Oblivion (if i managed to get it) Why is this a problem? Y'see, i hate to play sequels without any background - and seeing, how this is a RPG, i'd love to read some backstory - could anybody give me a summary or a link containing lore? Tl;dr - Can i have Elder Scrolls lore plox
what the shit is that? Fuck Todd "Shitler" Howard for lying
"Wow fuck Todd Howard for wanting to keep a secret."
Right, I hated myself for watching the intro and now I am learning too much about the game, I don't want to spoil anything and want to be surprised so I'm gonna do my best not to come back into this thread until it's out. See you guys on the other side! Hope you enjoy it as much as I will!
fuck
Alright, this has got to stop. NOT EVERYONE WHO READS THE THREAD WANTS TO KNOW THIS. Or just stop hinting at it, my bad.

That way when I played Skyrim I wouldn't realize what a huge piece of shit the Elderscrolls series has become.
what the shit is that? Fuck Todd "Shitler" Howard for lying
So now he's doing the reverse kind of lying, which is a good thing because he didn't wanna spoil it and you still grill him for it?
