you get to loot the corpse before you take its soul. you get its scales, bones, and any of the loot from the people it has eaten

I'm a bit disappointed in the gameplay, it does look like Oblivion 2.0, not really a bad thing but it's not a huge jump and some of the mechanics are still awful when they shouldn't be.

All I know is that the bones get left behind and you can make armor out of it.

No, you need to kill dragons to unlock the learned shouts.

I don't think so. Dragon souls are basically currency in buying shouts, and the shouts recharge overtime.

The only knowledge I have of shouts is from that leaked stream, he had the shout but couldn't use it until he got his first dragon soul.

I'm also interested in this. Is it possible to not only ignore the main quest, but to ignore the whole dovakhin thing altogether? Cause I definitely don't want every character I make to be THE ALMIGHTY DRAGONBORN!
