Do you have to be fucking 21 or some shit to enter the website? Cause I'm 19 and I can't get in...
Yeah, you have to be 21 to enter, and live in the Los Angeles area. I guess they're going to do it in a bar or some place that serves alcohol.

can you even do that in second life?
What if you're 18 and in the military? [sp]I'm not, but you can drink if you're 18 and in the military.[/sp]
I'm pretty sure you have to be 21 to drink, even if you're in the military. At least in the US. And plus, the prizes don't sound that good anyways, for me at least.
The Grand Prize winners will receive one (1) 320 GB Hard Drive for the Xbox 360S (ARV: $129.99), one (1) Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth; (ARV: $59.99), one (1) Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Play and Charge Kit (and transforming D Pad) (ARV: $64.99), one (1) 1600 Microsoft Points voucher (ARV: $20), and one (1) Three-Month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription (ARV: $25), as well as additional, undisclosed prizing. The First Place winners will receive undisclosed prizing.
A bunch of Xbox shit, with PC and PS3 gamers left in the dust.

Edit : We should try to get Joecool to sign up for that Skyrim contest, he'd win in an instant.
So there's a thread pointing out how the console versions have blurry textures and the community all immediately call him a fanboy, troll, flamebaiter, person that only cares about graphics etc. Why can't one point something out? He's not wrong, nor did he say that no one should buy it. Why is it bad to enjoy great graphics? With the way they react I think that they're all in denial, mostly because they don't have capable PCs.
In-case anyone was confused.. Month/day/year release date: 11/11/11 Day/month/year release date: 11/11/11
You are all wrong, the game clearly comes out Fridas the 11th, Sun's Dusk, Year 11 of the Twenty-First Era. Idiots.
Do you guys think the -paper- map is worth it? I wanna try the 'hardcore' style of physical journal logging. My alternative is saving a lil bit by getting a Russian key. P.S I should start playing my DnD games like that as well. Would be swank. justin, tell us why you disagree.

I'm going to make it my first goal of the game to ride on top of a mammoth. I don't think there's ever been a mob so large that you could feasibly stand on top of it without falling off within the elder scrolls before. Correct me if I'm wrong.

somebody mentioned spellmaking was not going to be in skyrim can somebody show me a source that says that?? not that i dont believe them but id rather be saddened by official wording
somebody mentioned spellmaking was not going to be in skyrim can somebody show me a source that says that?? not that i dont believe them but id rather be saddened by official wording
I don't know any specifics but I've been hearing that there is a form of spellmaking in the game, though I don't think it's the same as Oblivion in the sense that you can make a NUKE spell. There is enchanting for sure however which allows you to empower your equipment at specified locations.

I don't know who this justin1992 fellow is, but he has a lot of cardboard boxes to hand out.
http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon/status/102051887364325376
I stand corrected.
http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon/status/102051887364325376
i wonder why they took it out...
i wonder why they took it out...
they wanted to make spells more unique instead of generalising a bunch of effects i guess to be honest i prefer the unique spells over the Oblivion "X element damage for X seconds"
i wonder why they took it out...
They wanted each spell to have a more unique feel, which isn't really possible using the quote "spreadsheet" approach to spells there was in previous games.
i wonder why they took it out...
Because each spell is more unique now. Besides, when did you ever make a spell that was actually useful other than soul trap or some sort of fire spell that does ridiculous amounts of damage.
I will say that I quite enjoy the concept of two handed spell casting and even combining two spells into one. That sounds pretty freaking awesome.
Because each spell is more unique now. Besides, when did you ever make a spell that was actually useful other than soul trap or some sort of fire spell that does ridiculous amounts of damage.
i never made nuke spells i always made weird spells. like minimum shock damage but max light so its just bright as fuck in your face god damn it what the hell is going on for a split second and shit i had fun with spells but im cool with a more unique stylized set
I will say that I quite enjoy the concept of two handed spell casting and even combining two spells into one. That sounds pretty freaking awesome.
Just to make sure you're not misunderstanding, only two of the same spell will combine.
i just hope there are a lot of spells then
Just to make sure you're not misunderstanding, only two of the same spell will combine.
I thought combining certain spells (Fire + Lighting) would do something special. Of course I know that something like Raise Dead + Fire would never combine as they are two completely different spells, one being a projectile attack and the other being a targeted buff.

You can only combine two of the same spell. You can dual wield two different spells, but they will not combine.
Because each spell is more unique now.
