Hell, I doubt anyone did that. It was much easier to just put soul trap on a weapon or shield on clothing. Soul trap+ insane elemental damage on a sword can be amazing with Azura's Star.

I actually keep a journal from my character's point of view in my Deadlands game. Quite rewarding actually, and it acts as a campaign log at the same time, so that when we come back I can read last session's entry so we know what's going on.

I know I could look on uesp but I dont think they are going to have every single dungeon and every single detail within the first week.

I'd say if you're going to go the journal route, why not role play a bit and write it down as if you were your character. Whenever you find something interesting mark its location, whenever you have an epic battle with someone record who they were and if you looted their body, etc. It would add to be immersion for sure.

Also I noticed that in that 4 and a half hour long gameplay video, I saw a spell that allowed you to [sp]transmute raw ore into the next higher-leveled ore. (i.e. iron into silver, silver into gold...)[/sp]
