Just remember that you're playing it for the content, not the textures.
I agree but
the spells look so pretty...
you should go for water and fruits instead
but that's less hardcore so whatever
Not manly enough to be in the presence of a game containing dragons and beards and magic and werewolves. I would but I don't want to upset the Skyrim.
I know you guys are hyped as fuck, but I decided to play oblivion for the last time before Skyrim comes out and I'm having a few problems, as shown here:

My VGA is fine, HD4850, no other games show visible artifacts like that.
Everyone else still watching the letsplays okay? im having trouble

So what kind of stuff is different with the PC version? Besides the obvious graphic options and mods. Are the menus different from the consoles menus? The ones from the footage on consoles look like they aren't mouse and keyboard friendly.

Can't tell, until release.
Is it sad that this has been the only thing I've looked forward to this month.

Yes, you forgot about MW3-PFFFTHAHAHAHA, No, i'm sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face.
don't say that, it will probably come in handy in the future
But let's get real. By then it'll probably be in his best interest to have a quantum computer or something.

That can't be good. Usually when game companies keep their mouth shut about whats different with the PC version, it ends up getting slammed with a bunch of ported stuff like shitty controls and etc. The menus on console look to be designed for use with the D-Pad, and I don't think anyone here wants to navigate menus with the arrow keys.
I still have faith in them though, Oblivion and the latest Fallout's never felt like ports.

Not really, and they never screw up PC versions.

It's the only thing i'm looking forward to at all really. So it could be worse v:smile:v
I think the menus we've seen could work on PC - tab to bring up the selection, then gesture with the mouse to pick which section, then normal scrolling and clicking.
Oh well, it'd be nice if someone would explain why I'm wrong instead of just slinging boxes.
I've played both fallouts, haven't completed them to the same degree as I have with Oblivion though so I might make that my challenge before release date.
I don't know what it is, I just never really seemed to get into the gameplay with fallout, I guess I just didn't like the bleak dull surroundings in comparison to Oblivion.
And I know, I wasn't even fully aware of the elder scrolls until Oblivion but I can say Oblivion is my favorite game of all time hands down, I've never spent as much gameplay time on any game as much as I have Oblivion. I don't think I've ever played morrowind because I find it harder to play out extremely out dated games. Might see if I can find a cheap copy though just to get a taster of it.
By "both fallouts" do you mean fallout 3 and new vegas?
I wouldn't go as far as to call morrowind extremely outdated, it's not stunning or anything graphically as it might have been when it was released but it's really kinda nice once you get settled into the game's atmosphere, the animations are perhaps the most jarring though. The combat system is what puts most people off, but unlike Oblivion fighting doesn't feel like the main feature of the game, it's a lot more immersive to just walk around and collect shit for your alchemy nonsense or whatever
someone wrote "oblivion was my playground, but morrowind is my home" which is pretty sappy, but it elucidates why some people prefer morrowind

John is not good enough for you?
Just got a burst of originality, I'm going to name my character "Cathal"!

Yeah I've played both, I completed the main quests for Fallout 3 but not New Vegas so I may go back to that.
And yeah, I understand what you are saying, I can't believe I haven't played it before. I'll have to pick up a copy and see if I can get into it, thanks for the info.
John is not good enough for you?
Nay
I'm probably going to name mine after my mate or something stupid like "Stupid faggot cum breath"
[editline]5th November 2011[/editline]
"The legend of Stupid faggot cum breath"

The blue dot thing may or may not have something to do with a "viewable when distant" mod
Billy Bob Doohickey. I gave up on being original.

Yeah, I did (I guess). I'm 100% sure that I ran BOSS, came up with no errors at all, my only question is how do I rebuild the bashed patch properly? I mean, which setting should I leave on/off with wrye bash?
Am I the only one who doesn't like vertical inventories? I really hated it in oblivion. When you have a lot of items with you it gets really hard to use.
Hopefully installing mods in Skyrim won't be a shitfest of sorting out your load order...
It's the Imperial Dragon idiot.
I don't know why you have to be so hostile. I don't know the proper name for the symbol so I say it's the symbol for Skyrim. And people like you come along and give me hell for it? Relax, it's not like I'm calling it the Swastika or some shit, I'm actually being descriptive enough for people to know what I mean.
my char is going 2 be a imperial warrior named john michaels
