Todd Howard said the PC graphics were "far superior" at Quakecon. But then again, Todd Howard said it, so it's probably not true. But still, remember just how old the current gen consoles are. Then end of 2005 for the 360 is a long time ago for technology, they could easily make specs for PC much much higher.

I don't know if someone already talked about it, but the textures flaw is a bug.

If you install the game on a usb external memory unit, and if you start a new game saving on the same external unit, the game will have perfectly normal textures.

The one in the pic i saw a few pages ago, is part of the bug. The data streaming from HD in the leaked region free version has this bug. If you have it, try it for yourself: unistall the game, clear the cache, and reinstall it into an external usb memory unit. Start a new game and you will see a huge difference.

Skyrim textures are perfectly on par with the other ones in this gen for open world games.

Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 can do mods, though it's officially supported and I don't think Bethesda is doing anything similar for Skyrim. Besides if you're going to rely on mods so much why bother with the game? If you can find so many things wrong with the game that you download 3 texture packs, 2 ambient sound packs, HD model packs, revamped world mods, etc. Then why the hell are you buying the game?

I'm not questioning whether computers are superior to consoles. I'm questioning whether there will be a big enough difference to warrant stupidity in this thread from all the graphics whores.

From what I have seen it looks like we are in luck! It is pretty simple to hop off and kill enemies and hop back on in a matter of seconds.

Because it's great that you can make a game you already enjoy heartily even more enjoyable and long lasting. Yes, mods can fix flaws, but most of them are about extending the longevity of the game for those that already love it and want more.

With nude mods. Don't forget the majority of Elder Scrolls mods consist of explicit content. So for every 8 nude mods, there are probably 1 or 2 useful mods.
