Todd Howard in an interview said it himself that the draw distance, texture resolution and the amount of foliage on the ground is much higher on the PC.
He also said his NPCs would be intelligent in Oblivion... Todd will say whatever he has to for people to fall in love with his game and buy it.
He also said his NPCs would be intelligent in Oblivion...
Oblivion is half-finished and most of their trailers showed he was telling the truth. The game's AI even though not as amazing as promised, is still very good. Please tell me another game where AI has relationships and schedules and actually live a life. Because most games are simple scripts that tell them to go into cover and shit. Whereas Oblivion feels much more like actual AI
I don't know about you, but I never felt like I needed "lots" of mods. Atleast with Fallout3, all I ever got was a damage mod and iron-sights, along with a minor mod that makes me slowly lose rads. Sure that isn't Oblivion, but its a Bethesda game based on its engine and mechanics.
Fallout 3 had some decent mods, but they certainly didn't overhaul the experience, you're right. Oblivion and Morrowind is a different story though, the mods are just unbelievable.
I've never seen someone so in denial. Mods are an essential part of Elder Scrolls. Obviously the base game will be amazing on it's own, and everyone here will be playing it vanilla for the first little while, but I can't imagine how much it would suck to not be able to install mods in the subsequent months after release. I'm not trying to taunt people who can't play the PC version, I wish everyone could.
I never actually found any Elder Scrolls mod useful/fun it always seems like some useless crap tacked on.

Hell in Morrowind I've murdered a dozen people in their homes and infiltrated dozens of places I shouldn't and the guards don't know anything. In Oblivion as soon as I struck an NPC the guards knew what was going on from the other side of the world...

Vanilla along is amazing, but things to make it seem 'harder' I like as well. [editline]5th November 2011[/editline]
Very true, however the guard AI is unforgivably retarded.
Did you try the bigger mods? or FCOM?
Yea

After some tweaking, they work great. But you're right, they are fucking retarded
-shoopdawhoop- So tasty
Snip it or die.
Hopefully i get my new computer before skyrim comes out (my old one got destroyed by a power surge during an electrical storm cos i was an idiot and didnt turn it off). If it doesn't then i will be forced to install it on my brothers laptop and then i might have to SHARE :( :v:

Wouldn't be too hard to guess who's doing dragon shouts in a city.

what?
Todd said there'd be stealthy shouts, dawg.
[SUP][SUP][SUB]"RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"[/SUB][/SUP][/SUP] Yeah, don't see that happening
Todd said there'd be stealthy shouts, dawg.
Great then maybe you wont be nagged at for doing silent ones in public.
[SUP][SUP][SUB]"RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"[/SUB][/SUP][/SUP] Yeah, don't see that happening
You realize it's called dragon shouts only because some of them are shouted the power is in the language, not the decibels.
I really, really wish I could play on PC. I wish I could join your so-called Master Race, but I can't. It's prohibitively expensive. Right now, I'd have to shell out $750+ for a new motherboard, processor, and graphics card. I can't do that on a ramen budget. I've had to eat one pack a day for the past six months to save up for Skyrim (on Consoles!). Be thankful that you can either afford a nice PC, or have people that will buy them for you. Because there's an entire crowd of us that have no opportunity for that.
xbox, ps3 = no mods.
Some people don't care about mods and want to experience the game as it is without third party support I just get graphic-heavy games for the xbox because I'm not spending more than $1000 to upgrade when I could just buy something for $300ish. But that's just my opinion, man. Medium detail graphics are fine for me because I have terribad eyesight and I don't want to damage it even more by sitting 2 feet away from a monitor in complete darkness.
Party 11 of Manggs lets play is up
Party 11 of Manggs lets play is up
uh who? what?

A perfectly good statue ruined by a tainted piece of fabric.
>:( [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] the size of that shirt when it's stretched is the average body size of the cod player.
Wow, what a shit head.
Wow, what a shit head.
He looks ashamed of wearing that piece of shit shirt.
