Personally, from all I've seen of Todd Howard, I think it's less that he purposefully lies, but just that he's so excited about his own game that he exaggerates its features. Or something.

I have a g500 and it's nice. Doesn't have too many buttons and just feels normal in your hand. I haven't tried any of the others so I can't really compare it to anything.

I can vouche for the G500 being an ultimatly reliable mouse. Works just as good as my old G9.

I love buttons. I have a k360 keyboard, but don't want to change since its so new, so I think a mouse with new buttons would do me well. It sounds strange yes, but I commonly put zoom/macro quick-fires/duck/sprint/interact functions on my mouse, and want to expand a little more.
My keyboards fine because I only use it for the WASD buttons, to move, and Ctrl and space.
