Replaying Morrowind for a bit. Man, this soundtrack never gets old. Can't wait to hear what Soule has in store for Skyrim.
My name will probably be "Tom". I'm so imaginative.
so to celebrate skyrim i made a new character in oblivion he's a mentally challenged nord who only uses hand to hand
So, I've got a problem. I ordered a physical copy of Skyrim; however, it won't be arriving until at least the 18th of November, and that's if I'm lucky considering how unreliable Belgium's postal service is. So I've been thinking about buying the game on Steam anyway, and just sell the physical copy's key. In short, if there's anyone here who doesn't mind waiting little over a week for Skyrim and who hasn't bought a copy yet... Well, uh, pretty please? :v: Alternative solution: someone gifts me the game on Steam and I give that person the key of the physical copy when it arrives. Or something.
So, uh, if anyone wants to take me up on this offer, send me a private message or something. ()
Was going to rate winner, saw dumbs, looked up again and saw the download saying 5 Gbs. Yay for observation.
You know that on the official forums of Bethesda theres a huge 50 version thread with the system specs and stuff in there, they mentioned at "Recommended and Required" that you will need 6 GB free HDD space.
Console version is 6gb, so...
It's 6GB for everything
Any streams going on?
Console version is 6gb, so...
360 version is 8.1 gb... -snip double-
I suppose there is one benefit to getting the console version, if it gets delivered before Friday you can play it without having to wait for it to unlock.
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
360 version is 8.1 gb... -snip double-
All 360 games are that big when on CD
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
Not oblivion bad but bethesda bad. But facial animations and voice acting are so dull.
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
The third person animation with that two-hand sword was ridiculous.
All 360 games are that big when on CD
I wonder how much padding the PS3 version will have. 50gb disc for 6gb of files.
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
yes
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
No There's really no matter of opinion here, they are all great at best or adequate at worst. People are just fucking stupid. If the game wasn't made by Bethesda people wouldn't be scrutinizing it so much.
I'm gonna be ignorant and say that if I can max out BF3 with a little bit a lag I can max out Skyrim with no lag
Normal, apparently. The GPU's fan has always worked like a charm, the CPU's is brand new and I'm not overclocking anything. Otherwise, Speccy is a liar and something is actually reaching volcano temperatures for no apparent reason.
Speccy says my Mobo is at 90c, but Asus Suite says it's at 20c. I wouldn't trust Speccy 100% with it's temperatures.
Speccy says my Mobo is at 90c, but Asus Suite says it's at 20c. I wouldn't trust Speccy 100% with it's temperatures.
Hmm, then what do you recommend to check the temps, eventually? It still seems weird to me though, everything is brand new and I never even thought about overclocking...
yes
case and point ow, my automerge
For those of you who have watched the streams, or watched the first thirteen minutes of Skyrim, are the animations really as bad as people say?
They ain't the best but they ain't the worst.
All 360 games are that big when on CD
Ah ok. Whoops. :v:
The third person animation with that two-hand sword was ridiculous.
3rd person anims do not really matter to me.
No There's really no matter of opinion here, they are all great at best or adequate at worst. People are just fucking stupid.
3rd person anims do not really matter to me.
Player and NPC animations are shared
case and point ow, my automerge
do you really want me to break out sliding_imperial.gif?
They should call DICE and make a deal. :v:
Calling them great is a huge stretch, they're average - below average.
When did I say "all of them are great" they are great at best, and adequate at worst. There's some that are "meh, but wont ruin my experience" and others are awesome. Overall I'd say the animations are good, but theres too many mediocre ones to call them great overall.
