Still waiting for collectors edition, what's taking so long.
what's going to be in it???
collector's digital edition? what's the point, in collectors edition you usually get some physical objects that don't really alter the gameplay (as they are mostly made out of plastic), like you get some shitty map you'll never use.
"Avilable until august 7th"
What?
Ow for the hat. Of course.
meh.

They are not meant to be USEFUL.
They are just fucking pretty artifacts. Also i did use the oblivion map quite a few times.
edit: digital edition? the hell are you on?

You buy a collectors edition from a store you knob. There is no digital collector's edition.
[editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
Not to mention that this game will be worth every penny. They can give me a map, a book and a fucking coin like they did oblivion and i'd pay 100 for it.
it is a big deal, when the 360/ps3 games go up to 70, then the pc games will do that, and so on and so on.
Or it could be $60 because of the inflation of the Dollar :downs:, the Dollar just isn't as strong as the Euro at the moment so they have to adjust prices.

I still have that map of Cyrodiil. Anyone think I should frame it and hang it up? I think I'll get a physical copy of the game or a collector's edition of it for the 360, and then just buy the computer version when I actually have a better computer and it's pretty cheap and stuff.
50 Euros for me.
And will there be a digital deluxe something special thingy edition for steam?
game is worth 80 bucks in my book
I'm going back to oblivion after a while of not being on it, what are the essential things you need for mods again? I've forgotten the names of them.

Make sure you are on latest version with all DLC and get the Bug fixes.

I don't have anything else that modifies gameplay.
DLL (Dynamic Leveled List) looks pretty neat, but it broke a few quests for me so I'm not using it right now.
I emailed the author about it and he said he would look into it :o
Skyrim is 15 euro cheaper on Play.com
The downside is that you'll probably be waiting a day or two after release.
Come on bethesda.
Please release the details on the collector's edition tomorrow along with the new gameplay at least.
It's just Steam which does the ridiculous price thing in my experience (And Activision but that's for different reasons). As far as I know it's either a deal to 'level the playing field' for high street retailers or Steam effectively charging an instant delivery fee.

Then why are console games not 70?

steam's pricing is a joke, I only buy things off it when they're on sale
[editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
Shame, it used to be really cheap back when everything was in USD.

Gotta save that .45 cents!

play.com has got it for around 45 bucks, which is good.
Still waiting for collectors edition, what's taking so long.
I'm still waiting on it too, I feel a bit guilty I haven't pre-ordered it yet.
I don't understand, you want to save .45 cents?

well this is the UK, where steam offers the RRP for preorders all the fucking time, I bet it'll be £39.99 when it's available for preorder on steam in the UK (I included my invisiblehand toolbar thingy because it show an even cheaper price, though the postage probably isn't free)

also you get a map and shit if you buy the boxed version
[editline]4th August 2011[/editline]
oh my god I just realized games in the UK are now cheaper than games in the US, this is amazing
I only have 50$ to use online.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I've got it pre-ordered at Gamestop (Honestly, I only buy from them because I get free Gameinformer mags if I do. Shoot me.), so I'll just pick that up in November.
Can't wait.
Also, my Oblivion 5th Anniversary Collector's Edition will be arriving in an hour or so. Should be fun.
Todd: Games are too expensive!
Pre-order skyrim for only 59.99 and get some TF2 headgear that you won't give a shit about!
Well, just got Skyrim and I clicked this as soon as I got it

They're not going to increase the price of console games any more than it is. Instead they'll rely on shitting out $15 DLC every few months.
Of course Bethesda wont because they're a good company.
I can't even preorder it from steam

Well, his point was that while Skyrim might be worth those 60 bucks, CERTAIN OTHER GAMES NOT POINTING AT COD are really crappy in comparison to Skyrim's quality/price value.
I know I'm comparing CoD to Skyrim but I'm doing it as market products, so its fine i guess.

It might, i don't see how a PC pre-order should cost that much, and I've bought 30 dollar games that lasted longer than elder scrolls, it's not like the family of the poor hard-working animator will starve from the lack of 10 bucks from those sales.
Not to mention the console versions have the same price tag, so what's the point of a more expensive PC version that will sell less anyways because of the smaller PC player base ? Piss off the already small amount of fans ?

Why does it being a pc pre-order make its pre-order price to much? It has just as much value if not more then the console version (due to mods).
