Do you have any source for any of this, or are you just pulling shit out your ass?
Common sense is my source. We have a higher population than back then. Plus word would get out offly fast anyways in those days, just as fast as it'd travel a small town these days.
Also, there were videos against the psychic guard thing posted, but I don't want to spend an hour searching it.
That's what Imperials should have got, they're supposed to be the generic do everything race aren't they?
Imperials seems a bit wimpy.
How exactly am I supposed to read that chart?
The green on the bosmer and kajit means they get a stronger stealth benefit, right?
you read it by viewing all its symbols, ascribing meaning to the pattern of numbers and letters, and then you look at the size of the colors that represent the patterns of letters, know as words, if one word is being represented by a bigger bar of color, then that words value is larger.

oh fuck I typed too much again. Here, have the link to the raw data.
Even my computer's getting geared up for Skyrim. It's growing a dust-beard out of it's fan exhaust ports. Hell yeah.

Guess that confirms no underwater combat.
Ah well.

Why would he need a source for a theory of why an alternate universe in a video game works the way it does?

I'm sorry, but if you can't understand that "ES has lower population and less space than RL, therefore word spreads faster and people would notice things more" then your just dense. No ones going to give a fuck about some schmuck on the street that was shot last tuesday that they didn't know, in the time ES would be in, people would be much more worried because of the higher possibility they could be killed. Not only that, but they don't have forensics scientists in ES, so paranoia can be higher. Towns back then are also, MUCH smaller than many towns today.
I'm not talking about how the game works, I'm talking about the peoples psychology and how the people would work. This is what game developers would've had in mind.
11.11.11...
Remembrance day, Kinda unfair releasing the game on that day even for the players because what if you have to remain silent in the wilderness and get attacked?!

It is for something as trivial as this.

In most countries remembrance day is considered the closest Sunday to the 11/11/11. So we have plenty of raping and pillaging to do before then don't you worry your cotton socks.
It is for something as trivial as this.
How exactly would guards or villagers know who murdered a person? They didn't have forensics or CCTV, getting away with a crime is harder than it has ever been.

Yeah well, people would've have a much more careful eye. They're darker times after all, I'd think people would see something out of the ordinary much easier than today. Not only that, but some random well armed big traveler, smelling of blood, possibly wearing the skin of dead animals, vs a ton of random citizens who have lived there since birth, who you going to trust?
Someone tried trolling on the Skyrim boards on gamespot with a thread named '' Just another fail fallout expantion '' :v:

Hate that Menu system so much. It's nice when you're in town, looting and browsing shops, but it interrupts combat, for such a long time, to do minor things like Swap spells or drink a potion. It better be tailored to use hotkeys like a motherfucker on the PC, that's all I have to say

The much simpler explanation is that they didn't code the guard AI very well.
No one used these excuses for Oblivion.

I didn't know Skyrim took place after a nuclear war...
this changes everything.

fucking actually read
I wasn't poking at the game itself, I was saying, this would've/could've been this way, therefore, the game developers would've made it that way.
If you read, you would've known that. And I think the developers know more than you think, if they wanted it to be your way, don't you think it would've been that way?

Not in denial or anything but id be willing to use j!nx's excuse as a way to see past the psychic guards that occasionally pop up

Hey, actually read all my posts and not be dense, please.

NEW TRAILER.
Hey, actually read all my parts and not be dense, please.
Okay, your point is that because the villages are smaller in game, word travels faster.
If you go into a house and no one sees you, stab a guy with a dagger while he stares at you, he doesn't say anything or shout anything and you walk out the door, no one sees you leave but then a guard pops up in your face and shouts "Stop right there, criminal scum."
How does villagers gossiping about his death lead to you getting caught out by a guard as soon as you leave the house? Are these guys gossiping at the speed of light?
Or maybe it's a lot more likely that because you killed a dude the game sets guards on you because you killed a guy within a city while not in stealth.
I hope time erodes a gaurd's memory of you.
Like for example: you break into someone's house, and are forced to kill them as they wake up and you made too much noise.
You quickly get out of town, being chased by several guards and make it out of the cities;s area of influence. You could either go back and pay the fine or wait a few weeks to try and return.
Since it's not like they have cameras or photographic memories, especially if you're wearing something different when you awing by the second time.
Obviously this duration would be a bit longer if you went on a killing spree.

"stab a guy with a dagger while he stares at you"
When did this happen in the game?
