As far as I'm concerned, any game considering having melee should just adopt a form of Dead Island's. That is the only game where it felt like I was swinging what I was swinging, and not different looking sticks with various stats. I felt like I could control the combat and where I could inflict damage, and it was all up to me. I've never seen that in a game before.
Actually my opinion hasn't changed.

My opinion is a biased one because I have never played Dark Messiah
I didn't get this from a very credible source (/v/) but some guy there claims the marriage system is ALMOST like Fable's system, but you can't marry NPCs that are already married or tied to the main plot, unless they are special scripted companions.
So basically it means you can marry whoever you want PLUS in depth scripted companions, provided you have the Amulet of marriage and are wearing it when you talk to an NPC.
It would make it much easier for modders to marry their virtual girlfriends at any rate, if this is in any way accurate or true.

new monitor or this game
I have a square VGA monitor from my friend's basement, and it has a dead pixel. I want to get a HDMI monitor but I have to save up a bit because I have the exact about of money to buy skyrim. What do?
Honestly even though the first guy said don't say Dark Messiah, it is really the best combat game I've played. Borrowing Dead Island from girlfriends brother and the melee is good, but certain aspects get repetitive (kicking). Zenimax picked up Arkane studios, but I don't believe they went with Bethesda for Elder Scrolls, but from videos it does look like the combat for the series greatly improved. In oblivion all I did if I was fighting a higher level enemy was running around healing and slashing every now and then.
Just bought my copy on Steam! Time to get dragonborn on some asses.
what's wrong with that? I hated having to go to sleep to level in Oblivion. If you really want to, why not just wait to apply perks until the next time you sleep? It only takes a bit of self-control.
Self Control? In MY FP?
This game rocks. I just wish there was a greater sense of direction for starting players. The in the beginning main quests the game doesn't do a good job hooking you up with sidequests to push you towards other objectives.

Here's my list (A lot were mentioned a page or two back):
Dark Messiah, Zeno Clash, Metro 2033, Age of Chivalry, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Mount n Blade.
It seems Indie games and survival shooter games do it best, apparently. Perhaps it's too risky a venture for big companies?
(Btw, I absolutely adore all the games i mentioned above, I wish more developers would make games like these)

No i mean ya cant just...oh fuck im too high. Nevermind.
Perks are perks, not skills.

Basically, hoping this. Oblivion just wasn't much fun cause it was basically trying to keep yourself alive with cheap tactics while hacking away at the enemy.
While combat does seem to be visually lacking compared to move visceral games, it doesn't mean combat has to be boring. Won't know until you actually try it yourself and see if it rewards clever gameplay.

Hey guys, i skipped alot of pages to make sure i don't get any spoilers but i had a quick question. Will there be day/night change in the game?

I would assume so, it would be rather stupid for there not to be.
Why does it say its available Nov 10 instead of 11 for me? (Sorry if I missed something)

I was wondering this myself.

Looks like it from videos. Oblivion had it, Fallout had it. They would be incredibly dumb to leave it out of Skyrim.

Oblivion but it has been awhile.

there's a scheduling system, therefore there has to be a time system, therefore there has to be a day/night cycle
