Doesn't run through Steam after decrypting. You have to play it through the game folder unless you stay on the VPN
Additionaly you could try to create a shortcut of the game .exe and right click go to preferences and change that bar to run in full screen.
Is the day 1 patch already in the game, or is it going to be released tomorrow?
Anyone? I'm hoping some of the issues happening are a result of no day 1 patch installed yet. I'm not picking the game up until tomorrow at noon, so I'm hoping I'll be playing with the day 1 patch.
First person to supply me with a VPN can win a fabulous prize!
About two hours after release nobody have yet managed to share a VPN! Yay!
Holy shit they got one themselves how about you stop whining and do the same.

looks like you can't make the game do landscape shadows, not that big a deal but would be cool there's a setting for it in the skyrimpref.ini, but I think it's one of those that doesn't work
im going to bed. cant stay up anymore. please direct all complaints about you not being able to get on the vpn to your nearest trash can.
Holy shit they got one themselves how about you stop whining and do the same.
Or bribe people with things they may want :) Free things you may want for working VPN! Im currently using a taiwan IP address but i dont think im enough in the future to decrypt
Holy shit 95 on Metacritic....
I played it at my friend's house, and it's really fucking good, even on the 360 (FOV is the shitty standard console tunnel vision fov though). But I don't think it deserves a 10/10

I imagine as time goes on the graphics will look drop dead amazing in 6mo with mods. I mean look at Morrowind - visually there are things going on there that nobody thought possible with mods, like infinite view distance and DoF and dynamic shadows on everything. Here we have an engine where we can supposidly do pretty much anything, and run under DX10/11, and (still) swap out textures for higher resolution ones. Add that with inspired art design and we have a Morrowind (visually) all over again. I'm looking forward in 6mo for the landscape shadows, high res texture, tesselation and shader FX mod :) Will make an already amazing looking game purely from a visual standpoint (even if it lacks technically) look technically amazing too.
i am now in new zealand
7 hours.... [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] What program did you use ?
gamefaqs has a public vpn up
decrypting slowly but surely
found the actual ini that settings are loaded from, skyrimprefs.ini in the skyrim folder in steamapps time to experiment edit: or it might not be, fucking hell why is it so hard to find a god damned ini file
I played it at my friend's house, and it's really fucking good, even on the 360 (FOV is the shitty standard console tunnel vision fov though). But I don't think it deserves a 10/10
The reason consoles do 60 FOV is because usually a TV sits back 6-10 feet from the viewer, and the degree of focus for the human eye is 60 degrees. a 32" TV sitting back 6-8 feet from the player's eyes will take up about 60 degrees of their viewing space, so if you set your game to have 60 degree FOV it'll sync up and look natural (which prevents motion sickness). Not to mention at 60 degrees, games exhibit almost zero distortion at the edges. On the other hand if your "TV" is only 1-2 feet away from you (read: a monitor), then the screen space takes up about 90-100 degrees of your field of vision. So only the center section of the screen is "in focus", and the exterior surroundings are in your periphrial. This is what causes motion sickness, because if a game is set to be at 60 degrees and you are 2 feet away, you are only "focused" on about 40 degrees or so of the FOV which isn't insync with what you eye expects to see. TL:DR: 60 degrees works great on console, but developers forget that it is literally terrible for PC due to the fact that the monitors are so much closer to your eye, and therefor take up so much more of your personal FoV.
So how do I adjust it to my screen and make it not windowed
Skyrim is sitting right next to me but it's a gift for my birthday so I shall not open the Amazon package.
Most of the items in the game don't have NPC ownership, I literally just walk into houses, press crouch, and take everything in the room then sell it. INFINITE MONEY
Fuck it, made a VPN.S account, justy the $2 one, gotta hope it works
Does VPN thing work on a wireless or no?
gamefaqs has a public vpn up
AS am i ;)
So how do I adjust it to my screen and make it not windowed

OK people, to play on full screen go to documents/mygames/skyrim edit skyrimprefs.ini with notepad and change bFull Screen=1 iSize W=1920 iSize H=1080 Numbers vary for different resolutions, just type the max resolution of your monitor, the numbers above are for 1080p res. I hope this will be only temporary solution since we cant change anything else either, this will do for those who are not patient :)
source tpb
