The textures are bad on Ultra too. That shield is a perfect example since you have it up in your face constantly. Looking at that low rez texture is not enjoyable when you compare it to the rest of what is on the screen. Thankfully there is great mod support.

I haven't watched any videos to prevent spoiling (save for the trailers), but BloodYScar's video was the first, and I am pleased.
This game doesn't run that good. Or look that good. And the menus are terrible. The sounds are great, and the music. Anyone know how to change the FOV?

Yeah I was wondering about the FOV too. My main issue is that the game seems way too easy. I'm on the default difficulty, and i was fighting a bandit, he was hardly doing any damage to me, and then I killed him to find another bandit had been [I]hitting me in the back with a hammer[/I] the entire time, and I didn't even notice. I killed that bandit and still had well over half my health left.
So did anyone get it running on Windows 8? I'd like to know if it works or if I have to use 7.

I mean, people launch the game and what they see first are the textures, so I doubt that's what they wanted to show off when they touting that it's using new engine. Obviously there are other features, but yeah, you get my point.
well I got a new computer but will not be able to log into steam until tomorrow. This saddens me but I am in no hurry.
