Put it in a crate somewhere and just remember where you put it :v:
er, there may be "safe and unsafe" containers still
For those of you who work at retail outlets like Walmart and Gamestop, Skyrim is available for FREE on Bethesda Insiders. Just watch some videos and answer questions until you get 100xp and then you can go to the "XP Store" and secure a Steam key for free.
You'll need to scan a paystub and send it to them for proof of employment when you create a Bethesda Insiders account.
lucky fuckers
FUCK YEAR
VPN GET
aaand steam wont start, wow
To the people complaining about the character creation screen and its mouse use, I offer this.
For something like character creation, keyboard-only control is a good thing. In fact, for selecting ANY precise value, it's a terrible job to use a mouse. Why? Because you'll never be able to get it on the exact value. With a keyboard, you can do just that.
I remember the days where games were not played with mice, but with keyboards only. Those were fun.
Then again, what do I care? I'll be playing with a PS3 controller! (On PC. Card came today.)
EDIT: Also, how do I get into this VPN thing? I'm impatient.
lucky fuckers
Really luck, since the game is expensive and really good
As in when creating a character the mouse is useless and the UI is pretty much meant for a controller.
um
you can use the mouse in character creation, i don't know if that means it is useless.
and the UI works pretty well for the mouse. the only concern might be that all the UI elements are a bit too big.
So game is released in Britain. Contrats! My time to shine will happen in one hour.
If you shout to much in a [sp] city/town the guards ask you to stop shouting because its making all the people nervous [/sp]
:v:
no way? seriously?
Skyrim should be released in Spain now too, steam won't bloody agree
Anyone else feel this game is more depressing than oblivion? It seems like there's way less sun and green :(
The post I made about mouse acceleration, doesn't work for shit, don't bother.
Sorry for being noobish but what is AF?
I'm probably late but it stops textures from appearing blurry when looked at from an angle
Anyone else feel this game is more depressing than oblivion? It seems like there's way less sun and green :(
Well you are in the northern part of the world
famous for white snow and grey sky
Anyone else feel this game is more depressing than oblivion? It seems like there's way less sun and green :(
That makes sense... It's a lot less sunny and green in the far north.
Finished pre-loading, fuck yes.
Does de-crypting take a long time?
Took about 2 minutes to decrypt for me.
The detail of the game world is staggering, went through (minor dungeon spoilers) [sp]A hidden bandit lair underground, found a note from some guy telling the bandit leader to stop recklessly killing Kahjitt traiders. Then way the fuck down on a different road, I found a dead Kahjitt traider with his caravan overturned.[/sp]
Well it's effectively Scotland compared to England.
As in they're both shit?
Should I buy the game?
I don't know much about the oblivion series and I'd rather not buy it only to find out I should have played the previous games to even understand what's going on. If the game is terribly buggy and unplayable please don't just blurt out "YES", I'd rather only play a game that's functional (I've had some bad experiences with such games...)
Perhaps if you're playing it and want to recommend it you could also state a good reason to buy it? If nobody is willing to answer though I understand haha, I've read through the thread and haven't seen many people asking but no doubt some of you are sick of reading these.
Did anyone's decryption stay on 100% for a long ass time? It's still decrypting.. :(
Just for comparison, I'm playing Ultra with 1080p/8xAA and all the beans with about 35-40fps on:
E8200 Core 2 duo @ 3.2jiggas
6870
Reducing my graphical settings doesn't alter the FPS at all due to an obvious CPU bottleneck.
So, how does the Clairvoyance spell work?

If you like heavy rpgs, get it, as you can spend 600 hours having fun in the game without even starting the main quest (at least in Oblivion, I'm assuming the same for Skyrim)
that's definitely not the way it looked on the PS2 though
drop the resolution to 480i and add scanlines.
well, the bloom here and there solved those problems.
Yea its really good optimisation
Not for me :( The game is lagging even on low settings on a GT 440 and it seems to lag at all the preset graphics settings. But when i initially went into the skyrim launcher and it configured the settings best for my computer it sets the settings to 'high' so obviously i think my pc can run this game ok. I'm running it at a 1920x1080 resolution dunno what is wrong
also, one hour for me.
AUTOMERGEEEEE
Yeah, I just got that. As soon as I promised not to do it again, I shouted "FUS" in his face. Was hilarious.
"Stop shouting"
"FUCK YOU" in dragon, blow his face off like in Fallout3/NV
btw does Skyrim have that feature? exploding heads/limbs?

The game is goddamn epic and you'll make lots of hours and lots of modders are into the game and will just create awesome stuff.
ULTRA HERE I COME!
If my VPN was useful for you, please consider a small donation (Paypal: overv161@gmail.com) so that I can do these things for future games as well. There are 3 slots now available, by the way.
