"FUCK YOU" in dragon, blow his face off like in Fallout3/NV
btw does Skyrim have that feature? exploding heads/limbs?
yes
Not for me :( The game is lagging even on low settings on a GT 440 and it seems to lag at all the preset graphics settings. But when i initially went into the skyrim launcher and it configured the settings best for my computer it sets the settings to 'high' so obviously i think my pc can run this game ok. I'm running it at a 1920x1080 resolution dunno what is wrong
the GT 440 is not great for games at all, it's a given you're experiencing performance issues, it isn't a problem, just your computer is finding it hard to keep up.
Is the optimization good? I've got a pretty bad processor, so I'm a little worried.
Bethesda tends to suck with optimization, and this isn't an exception. I can run BF3 on high but this lags even on medium

Exploding limbs? I'm not sure about that. We have seen decapitations though.
Playing maxed at 2560x1600 with 4xAA and FXAA and it looks "good" but I'm only like 2 minutes in. This looks like mount and blade to me.
Oh my god, the game is amazing. Just absolutely beautiful. And I'm only playing on High as opposed to Ultra. I'm also really pleased to announce that third person mode is vastly improved, for those who care to ogle at their characters.
Decided to create an Orc as my first character, and currently trying to join the Companions.

Goddamn, I still don't have internet at home so I won't get to play tomorrow when I pick it up.
I believe you need to RIGHTCLICK the spell.
I've tried that, since this is required for any weapon as well, but it just doesn't work, it just unwields it back from left hand. I can only wield it on left.
There is one issue I'm having that's hindering me playing a bit, it's something to do with the mouse but I can't put my finger on it, something just seems off when I move from time to time (not smoothing).
I guess I'm having a problem?
I got the VPN and decryption to work, but it got stuck at 100% for more than ten minutes. I exited the decrpytion and game's status changed to - Update Paused. Now when I double click it it says "The game is not ready to be played in Offline mode."
If the experience I had with the community going in to Oblivion has taught me anything, it's that the coming weeks will be filled with flame wars over whether or not the game was good.
The beth forums were a total mess for like three months after Oblivion was released. It'll be the same here, more so since it seems to me this game was definitely designed with consoles in mind.
I haven't had a chance to try the game though. I was a fan of Morrowind and Oblivion though, hope it'll carry over into this one.
If you like heavy rpgs, get it, as you can spend 600 hours having fun in the game without even starting the main quest (at least in Oblivion, I'm assuming the same for Skyrim)

The game is goddamn epic and you'll make lots of hours and lots of modders are into the game and will just create awesome stuff.
By lots of hours of gameplay do you guys mean that there's a lot of side quests or that each side quest (ignoring how many) is pretty unique. Basically, do they just reword some lines and slightly change some tasks to make a new quest or is it pretty much something completely different from the last. I'm assuming that the quest system is also based on how far you've progressed through the game. (I'm also assuming that there are quest like things to begin with :v:)

From what I've seen, though, the world looks pretty big.
The random events are freakin awesome.
[SP]Random khajit attacked me after leaving a dungeon, had a note on him. Turned out he was an assassin hired to kill me[/sp]
Who has the account.
I think I want to have sex with this game.

You have to start it up in online mode first before you play because it has to install directx and .net crap first. reconnect to the vpn and start it up once.

Hey... Wait a minute. That bucket cant be destroyed and apparently it can even be "wielded".
Because its not an armor that has stats or something like that, wouldnt it technically be the "best" helmet in the game? Look how it absorded the arrows! If you manage to put that thing on your head, your head would take no damage from any attack! Just an idea...
I've got to wait until tomorrow after school to play Skyrim, it's killing me
I've tried that, since this is required for any weapon as well, but it just doesn't work, it just unwields it back from left hand. I can only wield it on left.
I think there might be a perk for certain schools of magic that lets you dual wield spells.
Where the fuck is the [sp] Companion Leader? [/sp]
Locate on map is fucking useless.

I don't know much about the oblivion series
don't buy this game
If my VPN was useful for you, please consider a small donation (Paypal: overv161@gmail.com) so that I can do these things for future games as well. There are 3 slots now available, by the way.
can I loose my steam account doing this?
Still feels like gamebryo when moving though, like I'm gliding along the ground, there's just no acceleration when moving, it's just instant, feels no-clip'ish.
Should I buy the game?
I don't know much about the oblivion series and I'd rather not buy it only to find out I should have played the previous games to even understand what's going on. If the game is terribly buggy and unplayable please don't just blurt out "YES", I'd rather only play a game that's functional (I've had some bad experiences with such games...)
Perhaps if you're playing it and want to recommend it you could also state a good reason to buy it? If nobody is willing to answer though I understand haha, I've read through the thread and haven't seen many people asking but no doubt some of you are sick of reading these.
If you like lots and lots of quests in a huge world with many NPCs, yes.
If you like a gritty, more realistic approach to fantasy, look into The Witcher.
can I loose my steam account doing this?
No, there is nothing in the Steam Subscriber Agreement about this. And people have done it before.

Whats with the weird mouse lag ingame?
Mouse input feels smoothed, delayed, and at times it skips around despite having great FPS.

even on the lowest settings? i know the gt 440 is not that good but it shouldn't lag on the lowest settings on a 1920x1080 resolution. I can run bf3 on medium settings
