Half an hour.
http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1255692-skyrim-pc-ini-and-console-tweaks/ also For now, the most important tweak has to do with the fact that VSync is automatically on and can't be disabled from within the game. This not only reduces FPS, it also introduces mouse lag. To disable VSync in Skyrim, add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section of the Skyrim.ini file in the \Users\[Username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory.
LOAD DAMN YOU, LOAD!

Reposting from the Goldmember thread; Apparently this is a fix for the terrible mouse/keyboard functionality. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QJ1X2RLH Download at your own risk, I'm about to test it out. A few forum members said that this allowed scroll-wheel usage and better menu navigation.
I don't get it, why is there a book about people just talking about bread?
Well, at least by the time I get it the major bugs will be patched out. :suicide:
I don't get it, why is there a book about people just talking about bread?
Put your mind in the gutter. Then read it again.
How about a magic trick?
You can do better than Ultra settings http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/456253-graphics-tweaks/
Why the hell is Salt Pile so uncommon?
Woo! Only 25 more minutes until I get to play. Just got home from class perfect timing.
I decided to buy at the last minute and now it's pre-loading 5 MB/s
25 more minutes :O!!!
I'm on the west coast and getting a physical copy at midnight. I need to wake up at 7 in the morning, get a hair cut, help my uncle set up a fishing derby, and lots of physical activity shit along with it all. Ontop of it, I'm not coming back home until monday. No Skyrim for me
I have to wait 8 hours. I won't be awake in 8 hours though.
Trust me, guy who disagreed with me, I am very lazy when I don't absolutely have to do something. Also, I found out that the Wal-Mart near my house isn't stocking them until 5:30 AM. I live in the middle of nowhere.
this game is so beautiful
Well, at least by the time I get it the major bugs will be patched out. :suicide:
I've been playing for about 7 hours and haven't really had any bugs, except for the finishing move animations messing up sometimes.
I'm forced to get the game for Xbox 360. Apparently it won't run on my 3-year old laptop. Who knew? I need a gaming PC badly. :(
I've been playing for about 7 hours and haven't really had any bugs, except for the finishing move animations messing up sometimes.
Well, I mean that they might patch in things like a vsync option or something. You know, stuff like that.
Currently sitting in line asst ebgames, just waiting. Longest 30 minutes if my life
frankly im not sure if this skyrimprefs.ini command does anything, but may want to try changing bTreesReceiveShadows=0 to "1" Not sure if it can be changed with an stuff in options.
20 mins till unlock, I can't wait to axe people in the face!
I really like the little stream animations
Just woke up after 10 hours sleep. Time to play skyrim.
Since I'm Waiting To Re-Unlock my game, I'll go into a bit more depth into my impressions. Good -Third Person Is Massively Improved. While it's still best played in first person for maximum control, it's very possible to fight in the third person. I find myself switching between the two more then I did in Fallout or Oblivion. Also, sexy diagonal running animations. -Beautiful world, the first time I saw the rapids and a buck grazing on the other side, I found myself stopping and showed the scene to my brother. It's definitely easy on the eyes. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/MdZiR.jpg[/img_thumb] -The dual wield system definitely adds to the combat, spicing up the dull combat from oblivion. With a spell in one hand, you can continually blast an enemy until he closes then and then move in for the kill with your blade. The only spell I've combined is the healing spell, which gives you a significant effect boost compared to using it in one hand. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3jAs9.jpg[/img_thumb] -Voice Acting/NPC's: While I've only been to Whiterun so far, the game's inhabitants seem much more alive then Oblivions. I met a vendor who mentioned that her whole life revolved around her daughter. Later when I passed her by, I saw her daughter begging to go eat at the tavern. It was a cool detail, and has me excited to see what else happens in town. I know that NPC's talked amongst themselves in Oblivion, but it almost always seemed unnatural and forced, never really talking about their own lives as much. -I managed to fight my first dragon in Skyrim, and it was a pretty amazing experience. Everything about dragons are threatening, and watching them fly around in the sky before swooping in for an attack is half the fun. They're not to be taken lightly, as I died three times before managing to kill it, and only because I got lucky (more on that later). Dragons breathing fire is pure eye candy. Bad -Yeah, the item management system is pretty bad, but I couldn't say it's much worse then unmodded Oblivion's. The favorites tab somewhat alleviates the problem of switching items during a battle, but is still just a band aid to the real problem. -Choosing specific perks in each tree can be a pain. The interface doesn't work well with the mouse and keyboard and you'll find yourself shooting all around the constellation, if not get brushed off to a different one altogether. -Remember how I said I killed that Dragon only by luck? Well that's because when it landed, it focused on some NPC's while I hacked away at most of it's health. In my first two encounters, the dragon would swoop in, attack, then take off in flight again before too much damage could be done or at the very least would attempt to ignite me into crispy pieces and prevent my onslaught. This time, it was grounded for some time, paying no attention to me at all as I killed it. That's it for now. I'm going to go shower and wait for my game to unlock again to continue playing.

Never had an issue after that. <3 working Nvidia drivers. AMD's would simply ask politely.

I finally turned off the horrible Mouse Acceleration and things are awesome, only you look side to side slower than a man with his lower torso missing and you look up and down disorientingly fast. Is there any solution to this? I just want mouse input that doesnt suck dick
Anyone with the Skyrim guide book, look up Salt Pile.
