Just got back from midnight release with my friend, to anyone who tried contacting him thanks but hes a dick and doesn't accept random friend requests. Even when he gets twenty for no reason. Finally grew a pair and knocked on a house's door that had lights on, was him first try.
Also me and my friend had some crazy moments on the way back, we opened our cases and ended up sniffing the manual and stuff while sitting at McDondalds waiting for our food.

so i just 'verified games files' and I got atleast a 10% increase in FPS, but my game still crashes without an error.
I just realized I'm starting to lean towards warrior/melee/shield and I don't wanna do that it's kinda generic and I wanna mix it up.
What are the pros to mage and thief? Forgive me.. I haven't played a single TES game (dabbled in the first half hour of Oblivion, no more) so ya..
I also feel wrong now about choosing a Nord because that's just playing into how generic my character is. Is there a brief list of what each race type can do/can't do etc?
I thought there was no can or can'ts for races. If you want to make a skinny ass human that has maxed out strength you can right?
I will admit, it is a nice looking game.

Doesnt it summarize the benefits of each race during character creation? unless youre looking for something more in depth.

Why can't I change my character's name at the creation screen?
Still can't get Skyrim to see my nvidia card even after updating drivers. And playing it on integrated graphics is possible but bad in every way.

Just play what you feel is the most fun man, You can always create a new character to play a different way later.
Oh yeah Skyrim was supposed to have that 'Classless' system.. like your race doesn't play into stats or anything. Ach well.. AFAIK you can change your main skill/class (warrior/mage/thief?) at any time, at those spires you find through the land.
I think its just a few cases of slow DL speeds. Mine has been really fast except for like a 10 second span where it dropped to 1 mb/s.

Those are more like a bonus power, I found one that [sp]allowed me to reanimate the dead[/sp]

Just as a warning for the PC players, don't hit the ESC key when binding keys in-game... I am now locked out of in-game menus due to this, and default didn't resolve the key being over written. I tried to look around for a keybinds config file, but no luck so far. 5 mins in and I broke Skyrim. [img]http://i.somethingawful.com/forumsystem/emoticons/emot-ohdear.png[/img]
How do you rotate items you are holding on the PC version? Tried holding alt, moving the mouse, ctrl, shift etc.
Made an Imperial, didn't get past the tutorial. Going to make a new character, probably a Nord. It would seem the character creator is just as unreasonable to work with as Oblivion's :v:.
The game engine seems to just be an upgraded Gamebryo, the animations and even the effects look the same. But the environments are beautiful.

Can't you open the console and bind escape to Con_ToggleMenus ?
bind "esc" "Con_ToggleMenus"
Or something similar, it may not even be the right command for the Esc menu
