I really like the menu system, although I can't help but feel that my Favorites menu is going to get clogged up really fast...
Do i have to kill a mammoth to obtain it's tusk? I don't want to kill the poor thing, maybe i can find it somewhere?
Yeah, you can find it in [sp]Halted Stream Camp[/sp], it's NW from Whiterun
Uhh... what's the combination for the [sp]Golden claw door?[/sp] I've looked around for hints like in the first locked door but I can't find any...
[sp]Open up your menu and look at the Golden Claw. You can rotate it around with the mouse. Look for the symbols on it.[/sp]
Uhh... what's the combination for the [sp]Golden claw door?[/sp] I've looked around for hints like in the first locked door but I can't find any...
Press C when looking at the item, it shows the 3 symbols on it
holy shit this thread is active; i've done about 4 or 5 main quests I guess, just did the bit [sp]with the greybeards[/sp] and i've already put about 5 or 6 hours into the game, so I can easily see this stretching out to about a hundred hours... edit: anyone else finding it completely impossible to fight giants (bouncing into the sky and one hit death)? edit 2: it could just be that one giant being a higher level, with the bouncing into the sky being a physics bug I guess.. will try fight it when i'm a higher level anyone finished the game yet?
Ok so how do you pick up objects? Not like put them in your inventory, but pick them and up fling them around.
It's 08:34, Got to cycle to uni in 30 mins. Hoping skyrim will arrive before then :v:
(This is about Whiterun, if you got there, please read this, it's just the beginning and I need help/tip) [sp]After you get arrested and serve the time, is it normal to lose sword and shield after talking to the Jarl? It seems he gave all my items and gold back except shield and sword, and he expects me to help fight the dragon. What the fuck? Is it the game bugging out or he really isn't supposed to give back my sword? (I did get my bow back though, so I'm confused)[/sp]
I didnt get arrested there, in fact he gave me stuff.
I GOT IT, I STOOD IN LINE FOR 7 FUCKING HOURS, I HAVE IT. I HAVE FUCKING SKYRIM.

Installed skyrim yesterday, and today is my day off. I'll see you guys on monday.
This is getting rather annoying... [thumb]http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/5314/screenshot5ju.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/170/screenshot7lx.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/786/screenshot8vf.png[/thumb] and then my game crashed.
I casually walked to my local Gamestop. No lines, no crowd. A couple of kids playing the stationary PS3. I asked for Skyrim, a nerdy looking girl gave me the game. I exchanged a FPS game and paid some money and got Skyrim in a nice Gamestop paperbag. Went to Mcdonalds and asked for a Big Mac. Im now playing Skyrim and eating a Big Mac meal. Is quick travel just like in Oblivion?
Is anyone else annoyed that it's locked at 60 fps? Kinda makes having a monitor with a 120 refresh rate pointless
guysguysguys I'm going insane. I haven't slept the past two days because holyfuck I'm excited. My brain is hurting though. wat do also gamestop is opening in 6 hours, then i finally pick up my copy :3
I've only played a little bit of the game, but it's interesting to me how a lot of the textures look nearly identical (although higher-res) to Oblivion's. It's like Oblivion HD. Of course the gameplay and content and whatnot is completely different, and a lot of other things, but it's still obvious that it's the same artists that did Oblivion's textures. I'm not complaining, but this early on in the game, that's what I've noticed.
Is quick travel just like in Oblivion?
Yes, but I do believe time moves forward when you fast travel. You also have to unlock the locations first to be able to fast travel to them.
sleep?
No, watch Simpsons of course. DUH
7 hours? geez bro, my local eb games I only had to wait like 30 seconds for them to get it out the back and then I paid for it and left
Got there at 7PM, was 4th in line, at around 10:30PM the line was outside of the door of the mall. Was totally fucking worth it.
Anyone know how to turn the sound up? Seems to me like everything but the weapon sounds are barely audible. I'd just turn up my computer's sound but don't really feel like having to hear ear piercing steam messages and other miscellaneous third party sounds.
no sleep no sleep til skyrim lol like the beastie boys
Yes, but I do believe time moves forward when you fast travel. You also have to unlock the locations first to be able to fast travel to them.
Yeah, that's how it worked in Oblivion.
Havent slept in 22 hours... must keep playing.
So my character is called "The Collector" because im planning on killing lots of things (probs gonna do dark brotherhood questline cos it fits with this) and dragging their bodies to one location, resulting in an amazing collection of corpses. I want to have one of each type of corpse that is possible to get to whatever location i choose. Although i will probably give up on this because it will take alot of effort i think it will be very fun to roleplay the character.
This reminds me What are old people's naked bodies like?
