You can [B]mine ore[/B] with a [B]pickaxe[/B] by first having a pickaxe in your inventory then finding a mining location (ore vein):

I thoroughly enjoyed the [sp] first dragon fight [/sp], and while I did feel like some of the animations were a bit wonky it was pretty fun. Glad I got this game, it's amazing.

I agree. I'm still used to the old Oblivion key mapping where F would holster weapon and R would change to third person.
