how can you even be stuck on something like that?!?!? maximum no of combinations is NINE.
27 combinations, not 9.
Is my fear of the game becoming unreasonably hard/outpacing me if I just go about doing sidequests and exploring whilst leveling up? Or can I go on my merry way and not fuck up the balance and pace of the game?
Aela is hot :v: Also I still can't figure out how to work in Riverwood and where to learn about ores and getting them.
How much does this game improve from Oblivion? I didn't at all like Oblivion because the combat felt dull, the story was icky and the Oblivion gates were repetitive and pointless. I'm still on the fence about buying this game. I don't want it to end up like Oblivion: a game I barely played.
How a real man rides two horses. That was a major pain in the ass to set up; both horses were hugely unwilling to cooperate.

Does anyone know how to close a book that I'm reading from my inventory? I seem to be getting glitched, and it doesn't show the button to close the book..
What is the single most best tip for starting out???
These dungeons are amazing. Much better than Oblivion's. Having problem on PC (with mouse) to select items for both hands. Somehow my fire spell can't be unequipped, and when I equip a 2hand and then back to a one handed, one hand is always assigned to the fire spell. So I can't dual-wield other any other spells than that and neither can I equip a shield + a one hander. Help? These menus are bugging me out
Has the console commands came out yet? Like item #'s etc? I wanna' dick about for a while with it :v:
Console commands seem pretty identical to how they were in Oblivion/Fallout. Not sure about any item #'s yet, but just try punching in random numbers and see what you get.
Can't wait until the 1st bug patch, these minor glitches can be really irritating and discouraging.
What is the single most best tip for starting out???
kill lots of dragons
So I ran into a regular Dragon that breathed frost instead of fire (it wasn't a frost dragon either). So does that mean that each type of dragon also has different versions of breath?
you need the baseid to add anything via console, just saying what they're named won't work The additem command goes additem ######## where the # is the items base id within the game, gold and golpicks are 0000000f and 0000000f respectively, wheras an iron ingot could be any combination of 0-9 numers and letters. [editline]11th November 2011[/editline] hold block, then attack.
Yeah, I know that. I was asking has anyone got the id #'s for the new items yet? I know it's a bit early but worth a shot!
Just made the mistake of paying a traveller 25 gold for a "request", they started singing badly I had to run away.

I found the Headless Horseman of Skyrim. He must be linked to some quest or something, cause I could not interact with him in anyway. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Co9AI.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/JxYtH.jpg[/img_thumb]
He (actually it was a woman in White... um I have already forgotten the town) did, but nothing about actually getting the ingots.
you get ingots by smelting ore in a smelter. there's a smelter in Whiterun, but not one in Riverwood. [editline]11th November 2011[/editline]
Yeah, I know that. I was asking has anyone got the id #'s for the new items yet?
Anyone here didnt liked oblivion but liked skyrim? I wanna make sure that i like this game.
I do - although in some aspects Skyrim is Oblivion taken to its logical conclusion rather than back to its Morrowind origins. They've tried to unify person-to-person interactions through the speech interface, for example, but for some reason that means they had to drop disposition and bartering in the process. Make of it what you will. IMO it does beat out Morrowind on quite a few points... but it still doesn't have that you-can-wander-around-for-months quality; and the inventory interface needs to have a good varnish of DarNification on it. I suppose I shouldn't expect the alien aspect that made Morrowind to come back, though.

Wow the game actually involves it's [sp]titular item, elder scrolls[/sp] as a very key part of it's plot. This is like the first game to do that shit.

Again, I never much enjoyed Oblivion. Will I enjoy Skyrim?
