I'd love to hear more of Sean Bean.
maybe my character's voice could be Sean Bean's. then I'd have a sexy voice while killing those scaley motherfuckers.
As much as I'm a fan of Sean Bean normally, he put fuck all effort into the voice for Martin Septim. Patrick Stewart as the emperor was awesome though. Probably because of the cost of those two that there were like only 5 other voice actors in the game :v:
I got Gothic 3 to try and appetize my hunger for more Elder Scrolls and while it's no ES, I have to say that it's a lot of fun if you're into the whole open, nonlinear RPG thing.
Brian Blessed needs to be in this game.
Morrowind did it right.
Can't sell bac to them what you stole of them.
Yup.
*Steal a diamond from Alchemist*
*Sell diamond to pawn shop down the road*
*Loot a new diamond from a dungeon, attempt to sell to Alchemist*
"YOU STOLE THAT FROM ME"

I've been playing the first Gothic.
I have to say that as shitty menus go it's fucking golden
And the dialog is absolute shit
And the combat controls are awkward as hell
And it's still fun as hell (in an ironic, "this-isn't-funny-but-I-laugh-anyway" fashion)
Gothic 2 and 3, I have never encounted a computer that would run them. Gothic 2 crashed to desktop on world loading, Gothic 3 never renders the world (but you get sound and you can even run around, you just can't see), at least on my computer here. The one downstairs, both CTD on startup with memory access errors.
Also, in Gothic 1, there's no female characters with any dialog ("Ssh! You're not allowed to talk to us!") or outside of Gomez' castle. And the conversations are full of innuendos. Coincidence?

Have never played the first but I could not do the Gold Edition of Gothic 2 at all. I mean from what I played, it's a great game but it's the HARDEST game I've ever played.
I actually CHEATED to level up like 5 times and I still got 1-shot killed by enemies in the first town. That plus the fact that it never really explained anything forced me to give up on it. Gothic 3 though I like better because it's even more nonlinear where you don't follow a specific path and you basically end up siding with one of the many factions like New Vegas. If you're having trouble playing it, make sure you have the newest 1.74 community patch or it'll run like crap and be full of bugs.
I've been wanting to buy Morrowind for a while to make the wait easier, and I've been leaning towards the Xbox version (I'm a console gamer), but the PC version sounds good, too. Are there any good mods for it?

DO NOT get the Xbox version. I made that mistake before I had a decent PC and it runs like garbage even if you're playing the Xbox version on a 360. Loading times and framerate are always horrible.
I mostly toughed it out though and it's a good game that must be amazing on a good rig that can run it with mods and such.
I usually think any FPS game is horrible for consoles, but Skyrim's control scheme seems to make me change my mind. It was even explained on Quake con (if it wasn't E3) that the right trigger would make you use the weapon/spell/shield in your right hand and the left trigger for the weapon/spell/shield in your left hand and that it would be a little annoying on PC.
Still, I'll wait until the people at Bethesda show us some specs and if my laptop (I should feel ashamed) can run it, I'll buy it for PC.
I dont see why using right and left click would be too hard for weapons... Though I might reverse them in the control scheme because Im used to left click activating a weapon on the right side of the screen.
You should just download it. Worth the trouble
Would you kindly post a link to the download? I really wanna watch it now.

couldn't you just put the weapon in your left hand
wish Todd would hire some better animators, some games made me horribly realize the wonder of smooth animations and now I can't unsee the fact that some of those are really stiff and odd looking but I guess it's a lot better than Fallout and Oblivion
I just wish for the final product so I can judge it appropriately
Good thing I've got all the preorders I want filled out, time to save for the CE.

Yeah, playing LA Noire made me mad that other games didn't have stair animations.
Also, how big is Morrowind? Like the download size?
I played a total of 11 hours in Oblivion and I fucking love it.
Gonna get Skyrim for sure.
couldn't you just put the weapon in your left hand
If Im right handed, why would I insist on carrying a primary weapon in my left hand when I can just invert the mouse buttons?

Erm... not to be mean about it or anything, but your gonna pay $150 or more (depending on where you live), when it comes with artwork, behind the scenes, and 12" PVC dragon statue?
I'm probably gonna play with a controller, only because using the triggers seems like it would be really satisfying

That's the only thing I liked better about the 360 version is that combat in most any game feels way cooler with triggers. Of course the best thing to do would just be to buy a wired 360 controller for the PC version.

Seriously, that's the only thing consoles really have on any PC, but that's personal preference and you can easily get the console controllers running on PC.
That, and exclusives. :P
Personally though I don't think the game looks like it would be BAD using Mouse+KB.
Maybe I'll play around with a controller too, but I just feel so much more responsive while using the KBM.
Either way, I'm just happy the combat looks MUCH better than Oblivion.
I despise Oblivion's combat... :/
Speaking of combat, I want a Mister Sandman type perk or just normal feature in Skyrim.
If I can sneak up to a sleeping person undetected there is no reason I can't stick my blade in his brain without alerting him and having to go through a battle.
Although I guess if someone is next to him or walking past the door to his bedroom and hear it, they can be alerted, but not the person I'm killing.
That, and possibly throat-slicing if I sneak up to people who AREN'T sleeping...
Both of these are added in Deadly Reflexes for Oblivion >:D

Or you can get yourself one of these babies:

When I played Morrowind on the 360, I wasn't able to save at all. I'd get it for the PC. It's a pretty old game, so it shouldn't be too demanding.

Thanks. I enjoyed watching that!
Am I the only one who did not give even a small fuck about the animations in Oblivion? Then again I never played in third person since dungeons and buildings are rather hard to move in with third person.

At the time I didn't care about the animations, but now when I go back and re-play it I do.

I didn't even really notice them and I played in first person most of the time anyways,
Stupid question, but it must be answered:
Can I duel wield shields?
Who's here hoping Skyrim will have Steam achievements?

I don't see why not? You saw the shield bash skill in the constellations.

I'd rather have Steam Cloud support, I couldn't really care about achievements.
