tilde (`) to open console
select dead companion with mouse click
type resurrect
enter

Sometimes it's difficult to select the dead companion because of all the objects in the environment, so just move around until it works.

Any decent bows around I could buy/steal? I'm only as far as Whiterun just now, got the Orcish bow which says 13 damage with steel arrows that do 10. How does that work? Does it mean a 16dmg arrow will only do 13 with the Orcish bow?

They add up. 13 dmg bow + 10 damage arrow = 23 damage

Jesus Christ I just experienced my scariest moment in the game when I entered a cave that was filled with ice wraiths,saber tigers and some creatures named Falmers. I was level 9 at that time.
I never fought an ice wraith, but it was easier than expected.I had a bit of a hard time when I got to fight sabers, but I managed.Shit hit the fan though when I entered a room with big statues and shit, and a chest in the middle. Opened it, and there was jack shit inside, but as soon as I got out of the inventory screen:HOLY SHIT POISONED ARROWS SHOOTING AT ME OMG WHY ARE THE WALLS OPENING WTF I AM BEING ATTACKED BY SOME CREATURES CALLED FALMERS OH FUCK OH FUCK MY COMPANION IS DE-.
Went back to my previous save, was prepared, was killed just as fast. Next time I checked the room and found pull chains near those openable walls, and I opened the said walls. I was scared, but went on to where the Falmers were at and this time somehow I managed to kill 2 of em, was 1 hit close from dying though. I took the sword and shield from one of those creatures and found out it's much better than anything else I have and was happy, and also saved. But as I spent some more time in that room searching for stuff I saw 3 more red icons on the HUD, and my heart skipped a beat as I saw another cave extension the left. Soon after a falmer mage (much powerful than even a dragon it seems) and 2 archers came after me and killed me. So I just went back to my save, and left with the sword and shield from that damned cave.
The cave was called Tolvald's Cave

It looks like there are random events near roads in skyrim. When I first past this location on the road, I saw 3 guys drunk and asking me for a drink. I said no, traveled along the road, and got mauled by a tiger.
I loaded to a save and passed that same road, and I found M'aiq the liar replacing the drunks.

Lets hope the Saber Tiger is replaced

Nope. The tiger is still there. But M'aiq was replaced by a very helpful travelling mercenary that served as a very good distraction.

I'm a little confused on the marriage thing. I believe the priest you can talk to is in Riften and in either the Bee and Bard or the Temple. I've chatted with him and I get no options to buy an amulet, am I missing some requirements?

I ran into M'aiq just outside of Falkreath. I also saw two men(?) running away down the road in the distance. I was somewhat confused, to say the least.

The only one of those I've experienced was on my way to Whiterun, I found a group of soldiers (they had a name, didn't remember what it was) in Elven armor chasing after a man to interrogate him. :v:

This game is so cruel. I discovered my perfect waifu in a snowy small village in buttfuck nowhere. We talked for a while, then she left the tavern. I did some questing, found an awesome gold amulet with a diamond embedded in it, decided to give it to he as a surprise present. Donned the amulet of Mara, picklocked her house's door, and placed the amulet on her bed. Decided to check if she had any dirty secrets, and noticed a basement door. In the basement there was a casket. She was sleeping in it, and she woke up when I stepped in the room. I had to kill her when she tried to drain my life.
My waifu was a vampire :(
