If so that's a short storyline.
now you can play the dark brotherhood, thieves guild, civil war, the companions etc etc quest line; and seriously, they are fairly long and will add a LOT to the game play
it's not like you're suddenly out of things to do because you finished the main quest; the skyrim story itself has a lot of loose ends if you just do the main quests, the main story seems to kind of introduce you to all those loose ends and then encourages you to get involved with them, which I find kinda cool
Yeah, I like finishing the storyline.
Feels like I'm more free to do things, but that's just me.
I cleared Bleak Falls Sanctum with a new Khajiit character.
Only seen three times.
Spider boss, Arven (if that's the swift guy's name), and one restless draugr.
All three within a short timespan of each other.
Sneak is at 40 and I've taken the perks up for increased stealth attack damage.
So I'm going to post this yet again since I can never get an answer to this.
I got a bounty in Markarth for being sloppy while on a Dark Brotherhood quest. I already completed the quest where you [sp]go to Markarth's jail and escape with the King,[/sp] so I think that is preventing me from being sent to jail again.
Either way when I go to Markarth the guards charge me and try to arrest me. I cannot pay them my bounty for something this serious, they do not take me to jail after I surrender, and there are too many of them for me to kill. I seem to be stuck in an endless loop in their conversations. So, how do I remove bounties?
Also on the off chance I can kill them all, will they "spawn" new guards or am I all set in that town?

Thing is, to me; calling the main quest missions "main quest" is a bit mis-leading, because while you can finish the actual destiny/dragon side of things; the main quest introduces you to all these things that are basically like separate main quests; and really overall a part of the entire skyrim story (they feel much MUCH more involving than your regular side quests), if anything; they should be considered part of the "main quest" because if you don't do them then you don't really know what happens to anything else that you were introduced to along the way. So basically, finishing the main quest doesn't mean you've finished the story
I awoke this morning to a fierce nosebleed, I was forced to dress with one hand as my other pinched my nose. I fought my way out into the bathroom where I could finally get a vantage point. The battle was rather bloody, but I had overcome my opponent once again.
Then I went back to bed and wondered why I didn't level up. :v:
Just taking some screenshots.

Looks like it hurts.
PS: My companion is beyond awesome. [sp]A dark elf female mage from the Asura altar/place.[/sp]
Is it part of the story to [sp]join the thief guild[/sp] or am I just a bad person?
Damn I want this game. Pity I had to drop a few hundred at a dentist the other day or I'd be playing it by now...
Oh well, RL priorities
Is it part of the story to [sp]join the thief guild[/sp] or am I just a bad person?
this is what I mean; there's an entire quest line for that that's separate from the main quest; the main quest introduces you to it and you can choose to completely ignore it; but then you don't really get involved with the world and are missing out.
I think doing that is part of the overall story; and we gotta stop thinking of the main quest as the "main story" considering the depth of the other quest lines

I just didn't want to accidentally become evil/notorious by having to beat the shit out of a couple of people.
argonians sound like fucking Garrus man? GARRUS.
"So we going to steal this ship's gold Shevja?"
Shevja glances back to our hero "can it wait for a bit, i'm in the middle of some shouting".
Also on topic I got a follower and during a training mission friendly brawl the follower started to go mad and attack the immortal guest giver for ages, it stopped when I finished the quest and she killed him :v:.
Honestly walk in and still see that chick slashing him up while his sleeping on a bed
My Dummeri companion - Faendel - I picked up at River-rainbow-run had the same VO.
Draw your weapons and then undraw them if that doesn't work keep doing that until they stop. If they don't stop you've done too much crime for them to stop.
Got a bounty of 45 and I cannot surrender.
Well fuck
[editline]12th November 2011[/editline]
Even the kid draws a fucking knife
I just didn't want to accidentally become evil/notorious by having to beat the shit out of a couple of people.
you beat the shit out of people for that? [sp]I managed to join thieves guild without having to hurt anyone; but you don't have to join them entirely to continue with the main quest I believe. currently doing the thieves guild quests instead of "main" quest in order to drag that out a bit longer as well[/sp]
you gotta go around to Ivarstead, follow the river around kinda.. There's a path that goes straight up
Well, i've tried going around it so much and while trying to go around it i end up at Riften.
Perhaps you could show me a path on the map?

ivarstead is on the map even if you havn't been there, you shoulda set a marker man; seriously dunno how the hell you ended up all the way at riften :/
I can't remember exactly how to get there, but you basically just go around the right side of the mountain( on the map ), I said follow the river because it kinda leads you towards it to begin with, but then goes all the way out to riften (I guess that's what you did?)
I slew my first dragon, feels good man.
Got 3/4 of the way up to High Hrothgar, crash.
Restart Skyrim and my latest save was at the bottom.
:suicide:
Wheres the path to get to the Greybeards?
I prefer bows Facepunch, but I also prefer Argonians just so I can be a lizard. Do these two work together well? Archery and Lizardman?
I've heard that once you become a vampire, everyone Will shun you instantly and become hostile, is this true?
uhm, im trying to do to the thieves guild quest where you [sp]follow some argonian around[/sp] but the game is telling me he's OUTSIDE the city whilst im inside it, and when i'm outside, it tells me he's INSIDE the city.
this bullshit is what made me take several months to find the kahjit hiding under a trap door while i was doing the dark brotherhood quests in oblivion.

If I can roll a mage Redguard ("black magic") and survive the main quest, you can do anything
I love this game!

So can you still kill dragons after you beat the main quest or do they dissapear.
So guys which race did you choose? I went Imperial.
So can you still kill dragons after you beat the main quest or do they dissapear.
wouldn't have a clue, some guy earlier said yes with spoiler tags as to why, I didn't read spoiler tag; but I havn't finished main quest so I can't actually say yes or no
They need to remove the training wheels they added on the consoles from the PC. Also,
