Can't wait to hear the full theme in that badass staticy noise.
Can't wait to hear the full theme in that badass staticy noise.
It sounds like The restroom at a Mexican Buffet how can you think that's badass? I want my real Battlefield theme back, thank you kindly.
Ok, EA just pulled Crysis 2 off the Steam store. Could this mean that BF3 will be exclusive to Origin?
Just when I was starting to like EA again. :frown:
Just when I was starting to like EA again. :frown:
Time to buy a hard copy
Okay :smith:
It's okay you're entitled to your opinion. I love you. [editline]14th June 2011[/editline]
Just when I was starting to like EA again. :frown:
It's a hell of a business move, it could net them a whole lot more money if this origin game has big name titles exclusive to it. It's not anywhere near as safe as selling the product on steam, but I can see why they did it.
I'm scared for BF3 slightly with that Crysis 2 being taken off of Steam but on Origin thing.. I just hope they don't make BF3 Origin Exclusive. EA wants to stop giving Valve a percentage of the sale, so theyre trying to do this Origin shit.

From what I've heard Origin isn't nearly as intrusive as EA is known for, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Time to buy a hard copy
You may still have to activate it on Origin.

People are already starting a boycott on the EA forums.
I'd still buy BF3, games gonna be worth it hopefully.
Yeah I will too, but probably retail, since I want my games together not separated between game distribution systems.
You may still have to activate it on Origin.
I hope not.

Hey, let's lose the outline of the tank and get a banner with the new BF3 logo (The BC style half-on-fire man)
I was going to buy BF3 but fuck it, pre-dlc and origin? hahaha
From what I've heard Origin isn't nearly as intrusive as EA is known for, so it shouldn't be too bad.
It's not that it's bad, it's that I already have Steam, and don't want to install another service that does the exact same thing.
Origin could easily be good and simple to use. But knowing EA it will of course be the complete opposite for no reason.
Its not that bad considering you don't need to have Origin running to start up BF3 but I would still much rather buy it though Steam.
It's Bad. Your Origin account is subject to removal if you have been inactive for twenty-four (24) months. There is also a 're-download' fee.
It's Bad. Your Origin account is subject to removal if you have been inactive for twenty-four (24) months. There is also a 're-download' fee.
Dear god...
It's Bad. Your Origin account is subject to removal if you have been inactive for twenty-four (24) months. There is also a 're-download' fee.
Fuck you EA. Fuck you. looks like boxed copies for everyone. TO AMAZON!.
It's Bad. Your Origin account is subject to removal if you have been inactive for twenty-four (24) months. There is also a 're-download' fee.
No re-download fee. That was removed.
It's on Origin. No mod tools. Only two gripes with this game and they're quite large.
The games gonna be great, too bad I'm going to have to boycott this though. I'm sad publishers have to pull shit like this, I'm having none of it.
• No mod tools
Typical. I guess they do this so we become so desperate for new content to the point where we buy DLC.
It's on Origin. No mod tools. Only two gripes with this game and they're quite large.
This too - if It's a PC game and not on Steam, sorry it's a no-go. The past few Call of Duty games, and Bad Company 2, had no modding support (presumably so we'd all buy the DLC). How come it's such a big deal this time around?
theres no re-download fee
If Origin is as bad as the EA downloader, I'm not buying it until they make it non-exclusive to their shitty service. I still hope they'll make something decent. And is that a Pershing's outline on the banner? It's bugging me, the turret's general shape and the gun's muzzle brake and lack of evacuator chamber makes me think it is.
theres no re-download fee
Looked it up, if you go past a pre-set limit (a month I believe) they will fine you for every consecutive (re-)download.
