Yeah, I joined on the Wake Island map. The Reddit server in Quebec seems to lag the least out of all of the servers for some reason.

Is this the same error everyone else is getting or are we just getting a whole mystery bucket of errors that Origin has decided to toss our way today?

Whoever decided that to get L85A2 you need to win 5 rounds of SQDM should be hanged. Already having only 25% chance of victory is completely fucked up by all those clan people being in the same squad and dominating the battlefield. Tried SQDM once in karkand and there was one clan squad camping on the square building rooftop reviving and resupplying each other. When I joined they had like 56 points and the second squad had 15.
Seriously, Wake would have been better had they gone with a different colour scheme.
That "Real Life" mod someone suggested does nothing to solve it either.

Only maps I liked in vanilla were caspian, firestorm, kharg and noshir
Damavand was fun though for the occasional rush gamemode
How are the new ones compaired to that?

Sharqi doesn't really work IMO, I was never a fan of Wake, Oman is fine and Karkand works brilliantly

Gulf of Oman is pretty awesome if you like large open maps, Wake is kind of closed, and Sharqi and Karkand are ubran with lots of open buildings etc.

I'd say overheating, but I think it's actually BF3's fault. It happens way too often for way too many players to be just a simple overheating problem.
