I spent the majority of a round on Wake Island just SOFLAM'ing air vehicles and tanks. There was a squad of guys in the same clan using Javelins on one side of the island and I was on the other. It was pretty fun to watch the javelin arch up and take out choppers and tanks from a distance.
After the game ended, I could still hear the beeping in my head. :v:

Would make SOFLAMing more worthwhile. ATM you need to organize shit with friends to get any decent results.

I had like 3 a round in the beta using the m249 with extended mags and suppression spec.
It's a lot of fun when you realize that the suppression is actually moving your team forward.
On the subject of AA and driving helicopters, I see a lot of helicopter pilots launching flares as soon as there's a lock on. Makes it easy for engineers like myself who wait until the second lock and take it down no problem. Also having a buddy who mains recon is great because he has a soflam on him all the time and i have a javelin, we absolutely shred helicopters and jets.

Yeah the rockets seem broken. Locked on rockets that is. ATM I'm seeing like a 20-30% success rate with every lock on.

When I use a machine gun I like to put downs as many rounds as possible. When you fill the air with lead someone's goin to end up dead.
With rifles I fire accurately though.
Yeah these new maps are fucking painful as assault, with the exception of Sharqi. All I do is run into tanks I can't do anything to.

Suppression has a psychological effect. If people see a guy UNLOADING ROUNDS AAAAARGH INTO THE CORRIDOR, then they aint gonna walk there.
Maybe you press E to activate them like in COD Zombies and dinosaurs wake up :v:
