I had a G9 until it suffered the grip peel issue, and Logitech sent me a G9X for free no questions asked (their support is fucking A++). Both great mice.
I wonder though, why did DICE decide to go with that awful color grading? It makes everything look so depressive and crappy.

MX518 main problem (I have one) is 1800DPI max (I'd need at least 2500 to be comfortable) and fucking line smoothing, which can really fuck with twitch shooting at long ranges (sniping for example). You learn to deal with it but it's still a bit unpredictable.
Intellimouse / Wheel Mouse Optical is incredible, the best "normal" mouse I've ever used. I recently bought a 5-pack of WMO's to share with people and as backups if my 518 ever breaks. Ironically [I]real[/I] pro gamers prefer mice like WMO instead of "gaming" mice.

Honestly I don't even have a preference for gaming mice, I just get whatever looks comfortable and has 5 buttons. A random GE mouse I had back in the day was great for me because it was fairly largish.

Also protip: When flying jets, use third person to find targets and look around the area, then go back into the cockpit to shoot shit. I've been using that trick since Caspian beta and one of my friends never tried that, he instantly got a little bit better at jets.

Third person in jets is very useful, even with air radar, to locate where enemies are altitude wise.
