I think my FPS keeps getting worse the longer the round has lasted, maybe it's all the debris that is lying around after a while.
I get faster loading times and higher FPS on the new maps..

Hmm, how would you fit the shields / anti-shield missile stations into modern day combat? Also, if you had to board the carriers with boats, you'd be torn to shreds by the defenses or be destroyed by everyone camping on the carrier deck. The Titan works because attackers start on one half of the titan and defenders have to work their way towards that side. There'd be some balance issues if you had it any other way.

Just an idea, but what if it wasn't just a carrier, but a small fleet; ground forces would need to capture missile silos to sink the supporting ships (because, otherwise you would be shredded by their guns) then you would need to board the carrier, blow through reinforced doors and shutdown the nuclear reactor powering the ship (or in some other way gaining control of it). The reason the missiles couldn't just be used to sink the carrier is because you don't want to contaminate the area with irradiated material.
But, I would rather just have BF2143 (and not as an expansion, but a full blown game)

As a gunner I prefer Thermal sights instead of Flares. With Thermal the gunner is way more effective in spotting and taking out enemies. Good pilot should be able to survive with manouvers and his flares.
