After 87 hours of multiplayer gameplay I have finally set foot in a mobile AA. I didn't even try to avoid them it's just they're only on select rush maps, now that it's on wake I had a short time to ride around before every enemy air vehicle converged on me at the same time.
I did something kind of awesome on Caspian, not sure if anyone else knew it was possible but..
I was in my abrams on the highway that leads from the US spawn to the checkpoint, I stopped near some of those round containers and surveyed the land, and I saw a scope glint on the hill just outside the gate to the Russian base. I had been shooting that direction at armor before, so I knew roughly how high to aim. I aimed up, lobbed a round from my main gun at the glint, and then I saw this.
Enemy killed +100
Headshot +10
It showed up in my battlelog as my longest range headshot yet at over 700+ which I think is kind of funny, I can't achieve that with a rifle but I can with an abrams... Total stroke of luck being able to pluck the guys head with that main gun. Has anyone else done something similar?

The vehicle physics in BF3 is horrid imo.
Atleast in BF2 they had a sense of realism in which there was a possibility of tossing it around, flipping it and rolling it and stuff.
In BF3, it's like they're magically glued to the ground and on rails. If you even as much as run over a weird angle or bump the ground vehicles poop themselves and start sinking or worse, bobbing around like it's on crack

I hate Gulf of Oman. I liked it better in BF2, even with the constant jets spawn camping your base...

disagree, it feels the other way around IMO. The vehicles in bf2 were just floating around, now it feels awesome to drive

I honestly don't get hardcore mode, the servers which turn off the ability too see your health, people wanted it for so long instead of this "BLOODY SCREEN" nonsense and then people turn it off, the screen effects really don't help with judging your health thankfully, so if i join a server and i can't see my health i leave.

Considering that the tanks are like 60 odd tonns it'd take a very fucking heavy push or something to actually toss it around, i prefer the way 3 handles it, apart from the random sliding that sucks.
I moved BF3 to my SSD and the load times are SO MUCH better. No more 1-2 min of waiting. More like 10 sec max.
