I moved BF3 to my SSD and the load times are SO MUCH better. No more 1-2 min of waiting. More like 10 sec max.
If you add an SSD to a setup with just a regular HDD, would you need to like start all new?
Started playing assault for the first time in BF3, pretty fun class. Assault rifles are sweet, I can set them to semi-auto and counter snipe then blaze away in close quarters on full auto. Also 100 points a rez is awesome.

Awesome dude, I shall be joining the SSD master race soon, and mine is a PCIe SSD, so load times will be even less :D
Oh, and leave it to KyleN to rate that dumb.

put 6x scope/semi auto on G3
be sniper :v:
seriously it's almost easier than sniping

Nope! I cloned my Windows 7 installation over to my Samsung SSD without any problems at all!

I thought he got over whatever he were being anal about but nope. That's KyleN for you.
Ironsights on SVD/Mk11 because you can't hit anything in scoped mode, ftw
Anyone know if there's a version of the B2K wallpaper with the soldier but not the logo?
This one:

Well, there's this [t]http://i.imgur.com/50J5q.jpg[/t] but it doesn't have the soldier
Does anyone else find the F-35's controls to be completely retarded?
It's amusing how a fifth generation fighter can't turn tightly because if you slow down, you go into hover mode. It'd make much sense to just assign a separate button to toggle between normal flight and hover mode. Also, once in hover mode, your controls get kinda wonky since W makes you speed up and S brings the throttle up for hovering.

I have really been enjoying using it lately now that I have gotten the hang of it.
It's like half jet half helicopter.

it needs a seperate button for hovering

It's actually quite balanced.
Someone here told long time ago, that with this hover mode you could do the same speed break as the MiG fighter did in Singleplayer against you. I tried that and it works, you really get behind the fighters really easy.
Also, it's still quite possible to turn tightly. As you all may know, the best maneuvering speed for fighters are 280-320 kmph. F-35 is not exception.
What you simply do is press a button SLIGHTLY, it will go to around 270 kmph then you can start turning. It also drops speed really really fast, but you just need to get the hang of it. Might be difficult, i know, but then... When was BF3 easy?
My name is Kiwi, GullibleKiwi in Origins, I just wanted to know if there's any platoons that I may join. I go pewpew on the sniper! Plus I'd like to play with my fellow FP-ers :)

How does a convoluted control scheme function as balance?
quick edit: also, I've seen tutorials on flying the F-35, tapping the brake is the suggested method for turning. It helps, but SU-35s still outmaneuver me.

Told ya it'd be 10x better!

The other jets still turn tighter going 280kmph than the F-35 does going 280kmph, and if you're against anyone who's spent more than 10 minutes in a jet then slamming on the brakes isn't going to save you
Just got myself rank 45

F-35s are so easy to kill in an Su-35. They either keep speed and turn so slow you'd be retarded not to get onto their tail, or they jam S and slow down to nothingness in an attempt to turn around and can be instantly destroyed with the gun.

Then cheat with the hovermode. You just use the hovermode to get in an angle slightly curved at the enemy birds, and then you throttle it up and chase after them.

But if you get a separate button for hovering, then it will definitely be disbalance. You can easily maneuver by braking AND hovering at the same time.

except he can just lose you in one turn since they turn sharper so it's literally pointless to dog fight unless the people you're dogfighting don't know how to
except he can just lose you in one turn since they turn sharper so it's literally pointless to dog fight unless the people you're dogfighting don't know how to
Or if the enemy sees you first. Only times the F-35 kills enemy jets is when you've got two competent F-35s vs okay Su-35s or the Su-35s don't have air radar, don't know how to dogfight, and focus on something else.
But if you get a separate button for hovering, then it will definitely be disbalance. You can easily maneuver by braking AND hovering at the same time.
Balance it by forcing you to slow down and have a lag time for switching between normal and hover flight.
My main concern is not using the hover in dogfights, it's that you cannot slow down to turn. That's why I want a separate key to toggle hover.
You know those two constrcution buildings in Oman?
My jet passed through between those buildings.
I love doing stunts in BF3
Oh my, the M320 is brilliant at pissing people off on non-metro maps.
